Kai's POV
I watched Aurora kill the whole court session. I should get out of this alive. Most of the time, my mind was on how I messed up leaving Graham alive. I imagined the several ways I'd end his life from where I sat, and it kept me from listening too much to what he was saying.
Aurora was back on her chair, looking at me. I was uncomfortable with eye contact with her. It was making my chest hurt. I'd not put myself through all of that again.
“Thank you so much, counsel .” I said with a smile, that I forced out of my face. “My payments would roll in.”
“Thank you.” Aurora responded. I looked over, and Tiana was still seated. She decided to come with me out of the blue, and I didn't bother trying to fight her.
