Caitlin picked me up at my mom's apartment. Ruby wouldn't speak with me, so I just left the house. I refreshed my memory with everything I needed to know about the case. Yvonne wasn't going to take it easy on me, neither was I going to take it easy on her. I was in for business.
Getting rid of every way to see Kai would be my biggest step to getting over him.
I walked into the courtroom, and Kai was already seated. He was looking pretty alright, meaning he wasn't harmed the previous day. I felt a stream of relief flood through me.
