Kai's POV
I spent the night at the spot I had with Aurora. It was peaceful, and I had time to think. It was hard pushing Aurora out of my mind. It really didn't work, so I let it be. It was obvious I wasn't really the one that mattered.
Back at the manor, Lucia left a note for me, saying she'd be out of town for a few days because of work.
“Like I care.” I hissed, walking into the manor.
I had my bath, changed into fresh clothes, and I was out of the manor.
The clubhouse was unusually dull. The boys were just hanging around in corners, taking deep breaths and battling real-life issues.
I loved their joyous spirits, but I loved this atmosphere even better. They hailed me as I walked in, and I returned their greetings.
