Aurora's POV
I finally found the strength to walk over to sit beside Caitlin. I only took my eyes off Kai once because he was the most beautiful creature in the room. For someone who had avoided my eyes a lot throughout the whole court sessions, he was staring at me pretty hard. Like everytime he'd look at me before he f***s the heck out of me, or before he tells me how beautiful I am and how much he loves me, or before he'd tell me about how the world would end if he doesn't get to look at my face.
He really did say all those things, and I never for once thought he loved me.
How stupid have I been?
I sat in the chair, and Kai took his eyes off me. Earlier he had sent another of his bulky payments that I never really understood why. Another 3 million for just defending him.
