I drove faster than I had ever driven. A part of me wanted to die. I had just gotten the one man I so much wanted, and now , I'm pushing him away.
“Keep f*****g him, and I'll make sure he dies. You should know I don't give two f***s about him.”
Luca's words scared the hell out of me, and given the dangerous things he has done, I wouldn't even put this past him. I was scared for my own life, and I was scared for Kai's.
I had pushed him away for the last time, and just like the other days, he fought for me, but I made him resign to fate. I knew it inside me, deep down, that there'd be no more making up. There'd be no more sneaky kisses. There'd be no more of us, as long as I wanted to keep him safe.
