Kai's POV The gunshot was bad, and I was in the hospital for as long as hell. Tiana was always by my side, and that was probably the only good thing about the hospital. I kept waking up to her by my side, sometimes with her hand caressing my head. I understood why she left with Caitlin. If their father was going to testify, they sure as hell did not want to be there to have him see them. Especially when their plan was to stay off grid. The case looked won to me. I could not tell why we still had to keep coming when it was very obvious that I didn't kill Gregory. I was seated before Aurora, looking into her eyes, acting like they aren't the most beautiful I've seen. I looked at her whole body, and acted like I wasn't so interested in her. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn't hard either.
