Kai's POV
Aurora bolted out angrily. I did not try to stop her. Maybe it even made everything easier for me. I had just told her that I cared about her, and she responded by bolting out. Maybe that's what it should be. It was never meant to work anyway.
I picked up my phone and put a call through to Adam.
“Withdraw the patch members on Aurora, and place new ones.” I gave the order, and I immediately ended the call.
“You care about her.” Aurora's assistant, Caitlin, said, walking in.
“Huh?” I squinted my eyes, “why haven't you gone with her?”
“Erm… she wanted me to stay, and I left when you asked… more like commanded.” She shrugged.
“Will you let me pay for your Uber, or at least let me help you get out of here?” I asked, unsure of what it is she wanted.
