Aurora's POV
I knew Yvonne had this footage. I knew she’d pull it out last minute, hoping it would crush us. What she didn’t know was, I was ready for her. I was beyond ready in fact, and maybe today, all the nonsense surrounding this case would end.
“Objection, Your Honor!” I stood up fast, maybe too fast. “This evidence was not submitted earlier. It’s late, and she knows it.”
Judge Rose looked at me calmly. Like she was too tired to be surprised.
“Miss Aurora” she said. “Were you aware this might come up?”
I hesitated, but then I nodded. “Yes, Your Honor. I expected it. But I didn’t think she’d actually go through with it.”
Yvonne looked surprised, but she shrugged it off immediately.
“Objection overruled,” Judge Rose said. “Let’s view the evidence.”
