The Alpha's true Mate

Running as fast as she could, she could hear the howls of her pack closing in on her. She tried to run faster, her heart pounding so fast she felt as if it was going to pop out of her chest. She knew that she wasn't going to be able to keep up the pace at the rate she was going. Already running out of breath, she could already feel her semi-healed ribs starting to hurt more. Starting to tire, she had to figure out a way to lose them before they caught up with her and killed her. Stumbling, she lost track of where she was going. She knew that the Sliverwood pack was near by and knew that she didn't want to be anywhere near it but her eyes started to get blurry. Shaking her head, she got up but, before she could decide what to do, something hard slammed into her like a Mack truck. She rolled down a small hill and slammed into a tree, breaking her tibs. Hearing the menacing growl, she looked up at the cold eyes of Silverwood’s Alpha. Right before she passed out, she changed into her human form. Cursing, Aldric shifted back into his human form and looked down and the young girl.
