Chapter 1: This Guy is Crazy
Under the cover of night, in Jianghai City.
"Jianghai City, I, Lin Feng, have finally come back!"
An excited shout echoed outside the ordinary exit of Jianghai City Tianlong Airport, drawing disdainful looks from the people around.
"Is this guy crazy? Why shout so loud?"
"Yeah, he's just come back. What's the fuss about?"
"He must have escaped from some mental hospital. Look at his dirty clothes!"
...
The surrounding murmurs continued, all directed at a man in camouflage clothes standing on the steps nearby.
Tall and slender with fair skin, sharp features, and bright eyes under his eyebrows, he gave off a sharp and profound impression. However, his clothes were a bit old-fashioned, with an almost white and worn-out camouflage suit and an old military backpack slung over his shoulder, lowering his handsome appearance by quite a bit.
Feeling the strange looks around him, Lin Feng didn't get angry. Instead, he grinned and walked boldly down the steps.
"Master, how much to get to Yulin Cemetery?"
Lin Feng came to a taxi and opened the passenger door, sitting in the front seat.
"Are you sure you're going to Yulin Cemetery? It's in the suburbs, quite far away. One hundred for a round trip."
The taxi driver was a chubby middle-aged man who carefully looked at Lin Feng, who was covered in dirt, and impatiently spoke.
From the frown on his face, it was clear that he looked down on Lin Feng. But he couldn't very well kick him out of the car, so he put on an indifferent air.
"Oh, one hundred? That's fine. Please take me there."
Lin Feng didn't even think and agreed immediately.
"Are you sure you have money for the ride?"
The middle-aged man didn't start the car but scrutinized Lin Feng again, saying casually. He didn't believe that this poor guy had money.
"Money? Is this okay?"
Lin Feng naturally knew what the other meant, so he took out a wallet covered in dirt from his pocket and handed over a bill.
"Beau...tiful. Beautiful! This is American dollars!" The middle-aged man's eyes widened in disbelief as he realized that Lin Feng had real currency in his hands.
"Is it okay? If so, let's go. I'm in a hurry."
Lin Feng furrowed his brow slightly. It was already dark outside, and he had things to do later.
"Haha! No problem, young man. You're in for a good ride. Let's go!" As soon as he saw the American dollars, the middle-aged man's attitude towards Lin Feng changed immediately. He tried to chat with him, but found that the latter was clearly not in the mood, so he shut up and concentrated on driving.
An hour later, the taxi stopped, and Lin Feng opened his eyes to find that they had arrived.
He told the driver to wait here and that he would come back later. When he said he would pay extra, the middle-aged man immediately agreed.
It was already dark outside, and the cemetery entrance was flickering with lights, giving off an eerie feeling in the quiet surroundings.
Lin Feng didn't think too much about it and walked in, searching through the cemetery until his gaze fell on a tombstone.
On it was written: Lin Changxuan's Tomb.
Suddenly, Lin Feng's nose tingled, and he quickly walked over, "plop," kneeling down in front of the tombstone.
"Dad, I'm an unfilial son, but I've come to see you!"
Tears filled Lin Feng's eyes, and he repeatedly stroked the tombstone with his right hand, his voice choking up.
Lin Feng remembered that fourteen years ago, when he was only eleven, he had accidentally stabbed a gang boss while trying to save a neighbor's sister. He had been forced to flee.
