Chapter 20: Start of war

Lilly POV:

I went home and put the box in my closet so Brandon wouldn’t find it. I took a shower and got dressed in my pj’s. I went downstairs and made me a cup of tea. I heard the door open and knew my mate was home. I went to greet him, I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. “How was you’re day baby?” Brando asked. “Good thank you baby and yours?” I asked as I held his hand. “Good my love.” He said. we walked upstairs and went to bed. We laid in bed and watched movies. I kissed him and held him in my arms, but Michael was right I didn’t feel whole with him. I felt alone and I didn’t feel the sparks that I felt when Michael touched me. I didn’t want to believe that he was right. We fell asleep and cuddled all night. I woke up the next morning and Brandon was gone. I went downstairs and Bandon was making coffee. I went from behind and hugged my mate. He hugged me back and said, “I made breakfast and coffee for you.” He put a plate of toast and bacon in front of me. I ate my food and got up. I tripped as I got up from the table and the plate fell and shattered. “You broke anther plate, you worthless girl!” Brandon yelled as he got up. he walked over to me and kicked me in the ribs. I felt them crack at impact. That’s when I knew the previous time he hit me wasn’t just caused by stress or him being over protective. He wasn’t my mate cause, my mate would never hurt me like that. He walked out and slammed the door behind him. I got up from the floor and cleaned the glass, tears running down my face. I went upstairs and opened the box and took out the bag that Michael told me to use on myself if I wanted to remember. I closed my eyes and inhaled the dust. All my memories came flooding back. I remembered Blake, my old Alpha, Carlo. I remembered everything from my banishment to finding my mate, our fight, being kidnapped, being torched and having my memories whipped.

I was so overwelmed by all the memories it felt like my head was about to burst. I finally knew the truth. I got up off the bathroom floor and got dressed, I was going to free my mate. I went to the dungeon, luckily I was in time to get in while there was a shift change of the guards, and I could easily get in. I walked to Michael’s cell, as soon as I got there he got up and walked over to the door, “You took the cure.” He said. How did he know that I took it? “How do you know I took it?” I asked confused. “Well I can see you’ve been crying so I can only guess your memories are back.” He said smiling at me. I opened the cell door and let him and Emily out. “How are we going to get out of here?” I asked, “The guards will be back on their posts by now.” “Don’t worry baby.” He said as he took my hand. We walked to the entrance and one of the guards spotted us. He came running towards us and Michael simply snapped his neck. The second one heard the commotion and came to take a look. He was killed within seconds. We walked out and went back to Brandon’s house, we went upstairs and got out the second spell. When Brandon came home we simply blew the dust onto him as he entered the door and he was teleported directly to the dungeon. We left Shadow pack territory but we knew we just started a war and had to be ready for the consequences. We went back to our pack and told our worries to be ready because the Shadow pack would attack as soon as they find out their Alpha is missing.

Brandon POV:

 I had just left the packhouse, my body acing from training my pack all day and I was tired. I didn’t sleep well knowing that Michael was so close to Lilly. If she remembered anything it would be the end of me. She’d leave with him and it would start a war, which they could win easily with the alliance that’s been going on. I drove home, as soon as I got out of the car and entered my house I smelled timber and knew a spell was just cast.

I woke up in the dungeon, the place was filthy and smelled like pee. I knew that Lilly had found out the truth about what I had doe to her and that I was now their prisoner.

Lilly POV:

We got to the pack territory and immediately called Emily to set up a meeting with the Alpha’s. we needed to prepare for war. I took Lilly home so that I she could change into something nice and then we headed for the packhouse. We went inside the Alpha’s office and it was packed with people. The Alpha’s all stood up when we entered the room. Emily walked over to me and hugged me. “Are you okay?” Toby asked. “Yes thank you.” I said as I took my seat.  “What happened to you? where were you?” Jack asked, Angela’s bata. “We’ll get into everything now.” I said “I just wanted to thank all of you for helping Michael to find me and not giving up hope.” The meeting started and we discussed my kidnapping, and how Brandon erased my memories. We spoke about the war that will be coming due to Brandon’s absence in his pack.

After the meeting me and Michael went home. We spend the whole night playing scrabble and kissing. I missed his compony so much, I didn’t remember his compony but I could only have imagined how much I would have missed it if I did remember it.
