Chapter 32There was something childlike in their behavior, Miki thought, trying to think of it in a way that did not seem cruel or offensive. Despite the great knowledge they seemed to hold, despite all the lengthy ruminations on the matter of language and storytelling, Christmas possessed what she could not help but think of as a sense of wide-eyed innocence and wonder in the way that they viewed the world; it was as if they were somehow impossibly old and impossibly young at the same time.
