Scarlet's POV 

We head up to our room and are going to get ready for the BBQ party. "Baby are you going to shower with me, or would you rather wait until I'm done?" I say as I slowly start to strip out of my dirty clothes. Throwing each piece into my laundry basket in between my closet and bathroom door. I unhook my bra and toss it at his face and it lands perfectly. He growled in approval as I saunter into the bathroom. 

He catches up to me, grabs me by the waist, and shuts the bathroom door pinning me against it. "Tesoro, it's not nice to tease your mate." He growls making me instantly wet. "You are so beautiful, and an amazing fighter my love." he slams his lips to mine devouring my lips with his kiss.

"Lettie baby, you are royalty on your own you don't need me to be the Queen you already are. You are so much more than pretty, my love. You are so stunningly gorgeous, a brilliant mind, witty, daffy, passionate, and brave facing all that has been put upon you. I just want to be by your side, help you when you need it, show you off to everyone so they know you are mine, show you how much you mean to me every day, that I fall more in love with you every moment of every day, and be the best mate that you deserve." De coos and then smashes his lips to mine showing me through the kiss how much he treasures me. 

"I love you too Gideon, but I am scared you will run when you see me in a real fight. What happened earlier I was in full control, but when there's a serious fight I'm not really the same. I'm kind of scary possessed at that point, my eyes change colors, if you haven't noticed I glow red when I'm super pissed, and it's like I don't really have a soul until I'm satisfied that there's no more danger and my targets are destroyed." I whimper out and put my head down embarrassed by my sudden confession. 

"Lettie your eyes changing colors is Serenity coming forward, you aren't possessed, she was protecting you, doing what needed to be done, and there's nothing wrong with that. Just as my eyes change color to lavender instead of the violet they are now when Derrick is in control. She may not have been able to communicate with you, or you be able to shift, but she was there to help you when you needed her the most. Don't ever think I'll leave you alone you are my galaxy until the end of time." De says and kisses me passionately again. 

I smile and say, "Okay baby let's get clean and head to the BBQ." 

I finish getting all washed up and go to my closet as he finishes getting himself clean. I put on my black lace bra and boy short panties which is also lace. I then slide on my black jeans and a purple and black plaid off the shoulder button up that shows off my belly button ring and my mate's mark. I slide on my black combat boots, and begin tossing my hair into a bun as Gideon walks out of the bathroom with a towel around his hips showing off his perfectly sculpted body. 

"Baby, shouldn't you be wearing a gown? It is a party for you, and you are the future Queen." De asks looking confused at my attire. 

"Sweetheart this isn't that kind of party with the whole unit, well pack I guess I should say. We really only do the formal thing when the higher ups like dignitaries, diplomats, and members of the Senate, House of the Representatives, and or the President." I say sweetly trying to clear his confusion. 

"Well, then Tesoro, when in Rome..." De starts before I cut him off. 

"Do as the Roman's do." I finish for him giggling like a school girl. 

He pulls out jeans, and a silk blue button up dress shirt. I giggle "Baby, wear a t-shirt you don't want to ruin that silk shirt. Trust me theses BBQ parties can get messy, and fod fights tend to happen. Plus my dad's homemade BBQ sauce is a b***h to get out of clothes." He pulls out a royal violet V-neck t-shirt that molds to his body making him look absolutely delicious. I bite my lip again as I take in the sight of my mouth watering mate. 

"Tesoro, you can stare at me all you want I am all yours just like you are all mine." De growls out as he wraps his arms around my waist pulling me tight against his solid chest. 

My door swings open, and there stands Shelby with an apologetic looking Seth behind her. "Woman it's BBQ time, love on him later, and let's go!" she yells at me. 

"Sorry your Majesties, I couldn't persuade her to wait until you two came out." Seth bows apologizing. 

"Seth stop that s**t! I don't do bowing, and I'm certainly not going to take 'your Majesties' coming from a friends mouth. I get it I'm future Queen, but no one in our circle will bow to me unless we are in a turly formal setting. You guys are our friends first and foremost, and this isn't one of those formal situations. Hell, the boys call me Scar, and you and the others should too." I say sternly yet slightly agitated. Shelby bursts out laughing hysterically and I get confused, "What's up your butt right now?" I ask. 

"You totally just sounded like your dad in your royal command voice, and you didn't even realize it!" she says in ragged breath from trying to contain her laughter. 

I grab my hair brush and toss it at her hitting her in the chest. She grabs her chest feigning a death blow, she begins falling, Seth catches her, and growls at me. Which causes Gideon to shove me behind him and roar at Seth. 

"De is sexy as f**k when he gets protective." Serenity purrs in my head enjoying Gideon and Derrick's display of dominance. 

I step back in front of De, as Shelby stands in front of Seth. I place my hand on Gideon's chest and coo, "De, baby it's fine he didn't mean it. He thought I hurt his mate, and he doesn't know how her and I act together." 

"She's right sweetie. Don't be mad at Scar we were just playing around like we always do. She didn't actually hurt me I'm sorry for worrying you." Shelby coos at Seth. 

"Sorry your... I mean Scar. I should have guessed that you two were just goofing off." Seth says apologetically. 

"It's okay hun you kind of have to get used to it though, because we aren't going to change just because you two are in the picture now." I say and loop my arm with Shelby's, "let's go eat shall we!" Shelby and I begin walking out of the door and down the hallway to the backyard. 

"She really is something special Seth." Gideon says to Seth as they follow us to the yard. 

"She is, but so is Shelby she's just so perfect." Seth replies dreamily. 

"Do you think they realize that we can hear them?" Shelby questions giggling. 

"I think if they wanted us not to hear them then they would have mind linked each other, duh!" I say rolling my eyes.
