The Missing Luna

Unmask

It's a rainy Monday morning all the birds are still cozy in their nests, insects still in their hiding spots the room is cold and cozy. Just five more minutes Ris thinking to herself while turning and hugging her blanket even tighter. Why cant school be out already, two more weeks and I'll sleep like a baby every day and night she giggled.

Ris walked into the kitchen where her mom was preparing pancakes and bacon her favorite breakfast dish. She saw some freshly squeezed orange juice in a glass already at the table for her, she had a seat and her mom gave her a plate with pancakes, bacon, syrup and some grapes. She took a deep breath, exhaled slowly enjoying the cozy moment her mom took a seat next to her and they had there breakfast enjoying the moment with each other.

Since her dad died they hardly have breakfast together, thinking about it this is the first time since Ria prepared pancakes for them since he passed. This was also Thomas favorite breakfast instead of orange juice he'll have a cup of coffee with milk. Ris thought that today is going to be a really good day. She was in a good mood.

At school everything was going smoothly,

Ris just felt a sense of calmness over her the entire day she felt contend and safe. "this feeling is just nice" Ris said to Winx "I know but something doesn't feel right" Winx replied not liking the fact that she's been feeling uneasy the entire day. The school day is almost over and they are heading towards their car, while walking they can see a familiar person but can get his scent.

"why did he mask his scent" they both said "I don't know, Ris but let's be careful remember we are not safe". "did you lost something Brayden?" Ris said with a tone to let Brayden know it was not cool of him to be by her car. "ohh this is your car, I didn't know that" he lied with a smile. "I was just waiting for more cousin?" "well she's definitely not in my car" Ris responded.. Motioning to the guy in front of her to move Brayden stepped back and allowed her to get into her car. He apologized to Ris about the mix up. She began to slowly exit the car park when she heard Brayden whispered "when you are asleep you subconsciously unmask your scent you have to control that" her heart began to beat really fast. "just breath Ris you'll have a panic attack, we won't hurt you or tell anyone about you we'll train you and keep you safe We promise" Brayden said knowing she can hear him.

"That's why I felt so relaxed, is because Brayden was around us and you were uneasy?" Ris said now making sense in the matter. "Is he our mate?" "you won't even question if it's our mate when you meet him" "but I believe he can help train us" Ris said to Winx. Winx was unsure if she can trust Brayden or not she didn't sense any sort of danger from him. She also couldn't place why her human felt relaxed and calm around him. She have to now be alert for herself and her human who seems quick to trust this guy. They have never been around another wolf before. They learnt about them themselves through books and the knowledge Winx had about their history. It is believed that when the human dies their wolf's will be sent to another human.

Ris had been thinking about Brayden words the entire evening it's pretty late and she can't seem to go to sleep. She decided to go out her window and have a seat on the roof clear her mind a bit.

"her scent is a bit similar to our dear Luna" Lex said they have been observing Ris the entire weekend since nce the party. Something about her was unsettling to them. Friday night they didn't get anything from her so they decided to monitor her they entire weekend. Saturday night while they were outside her house they picked up on her scent it was faint then disappeared they almost thought they were going crazy because it was similar to their Luna. When they got it again stronger and it disappeared they realized what was happening, she can't properly control her scent when she's asleep. Both her and her wolf mask back as soon as they subconsciously feel like it's out.

They realized that she's alone and considered a rougue because she's in human territory. Humans and werewolves around the same area in other part of the country. But this is the South side believe it or not there is much forest in the area. This side especially only got one small forest so no wolves decide to live out here. If they other wolves around they most like are just visiting, on business or just rougues trying to build a normal life.

Not all wolves can mask their scent especially consistently do it like Ris. Brayden decided he'll train Ris and offer her to go back to his pack with him. They have a really strong pack and a caring Luna who'll accept Ris. But they just have to convince her after all she'll have to give up on the life she knows.
