1027 Words
"Leila, I have an idea, just hear me out, ok?" Vitus asked. Leila nodded. "You want your normal life back but our enemies know where you live and what you look like. What if you were to live somewhere else, in London, but in a different apprtment? And Miller would always be with you and guard you when you go out? Leila shrieked "really?! I can go back to work and Uni?" "Well, yes, I didn't mean to keep you here like a prisoner in the first place. I just wanted to keep you safe." Vitus answered seriously. Leila smiled. "It was only a few days, it was more like a holiday than anything else." She dismissed happily. "So I guess that's our date over and done with then?" Vitus asked. Leila looked thoughtful as she bowed her head down slightly facing her feet. "What are you thinking?" Vitus asked curiously. "Nothing.." Leila blushed. "Tell me" Vitus pressed carefully. Leila smiled "well..what if you walk me back to my room..like you wanted to do at the italian, before I stopped you?" She said shyly. "I'd really like that" Vitus grinned and stood up holding out his arm for Leila to hold on to. "Now you're a gentleman all of a sudden?" Leila joked. "I'm trying to be, but you're not making it very easy for me." Vitus laughed. Vitus took Leila back to her room, he opened her door, she walked in and waited for him to follow, but he didn't. "Don't you want to come in?" Leila asked confused. Vitus shook his head "what happened the other night, was nice, really nice, but now I know, that you feel like a prisoner here, I would feel bad if anything happened." Leila frowned and turned on her heel, she was just about to close the door, when Vitus stopped her, "did I say something wrong?" He asked. "No, it's just.." Leila trailed off. "Tell me Leila. How am I supposed to know these things if you don't speak openly to me?!" Vitus stated. "Is it because I'm a virgin?" She asked him directly. Vitus was taken back, "No Leila! What the h*ll! Why would you think that?!" Leila's lip quivered, "well last time we went on a date, you looked at me like I was a deadly disease, after I said I was a virgin.." she trailed off. "Right, change of plans, I'll come in" Vitus remarked. Leila looked at him in shock. "I'm still not going to f*ck you, I just want to speak to you properly, not standing here in the hallway." He explained. Leila stepped back into the room, giving Vitus room to follow. Vitus sat down on the edge of the bed Leila stood aimlessly infront of the closed door, not knowing what to do with herself. "Come and sit next to me, I won't bite, well unless you want me to" Vitus winked. Leila walked over to the bed hesitantly and sat down making sure to leave some distance between them. "I know it's hard to believe Leila, but I really like you. You're right that I was shocked when I heard that you're a virgin, I was hoping to get you off my mind by f*cking you, just like I would with any woman. But for some unknown reason, I feel bad when I come to close to you, I don't want to be away from you, nor do I want to hurt you by being too close. It's doing my head in. I have never felt anything like this before." Vitus explained. Leila smiled and stiffled a yawn. "You're tired, get some sleep, little lady, I'll come back and see you tomorrow." Vitus placed his hands on either side of Leila's face and gave her a small peck on her forehead. After he had left the room, Leila pulled on her pyjamas and cleaned her teeth, then she snuggled under the blankets and fell into a deep sleep. "No! No! Stop!" She screamed but the large man wasn't listening, "Let me go!" His grip tightened around her ankle and he continued dragging her through the woods. Her hair was full of branches, leaves and mud, she could feel a cut of the side of her face and a big bruise building on the back of her head. Suddenly a shot sounded. Leila sat up in bed. She looked around frantically, gathering her bearings. Her blanket laid half on half off the bed, her sheet was crinkled messily and she couldn't see her pillow, she must have really thrashed around, she thought. Leila shuddered, the nightmare had felt so real. She got up to look for her pillow, when she noticed that the the large picture on the wall behind the bed was crooked. She straightened the picture and was just about to adjust it a little more when it suddenly fell to the ground, revealing a keypad. Leila gasped. She walked around the room in circles deciding what to do next. After a while she walked over to her laptop and typed Vitus' name into the search engine, it came up with his birth date straight away. She pressed the numbers: 0504 on the keypad, "wrong code" flashed up on the screen. "s**t" Leila muttered. She paced the room thinking what the code could be, she remembered when Vitus' guard had knocked on the door of her apartment. "What was it again" she wondered out loud, "7..no..8..5..no..arrrghh.. heavens devils.. oh I know 8..but thats only one number, think Leila, think!" She motivated herself. "He scratched 4 times, that could stand for the d of devils" she concluded, "what could the other numbers be.." she trailed off and ran over to the keypad "it has to be four numbers, there are four gaps" she pressed the 8 and the 4 and then she paused, "the man had coughed two times twice, maybe two times the two would do it" she pressed the two twice and the wall moved, disapearing into the floor, Leila gasped, she was expecting a door of some sort, but the whole wall, that really made her breathless.
