Chapter 23: We did it.

Warning: Contains death threats and murder

The younger was fast to dodge the knife coming at her. But the other wasn't holding back as well.

"I'm going to kill you!" She yelled as she started to chase the younger.

She kept trying to hit the younger. The other was fast with the knife in her hand. Although, some she did dodge she couldn't dodge the other hits. Causing her to receive a bunch of wounds on her arms and legs.

"I'll kill you! I'll kill you" she kept saying Every time she tried to hit the younger.

Sage calmly dodged the hits, ignoring the ones she already had. It was getting quite tiring for her, to the point where she was about to stop dodging the hits. But then she remembered the conversation she had with the two guys before coming here.

"Oh... They'll get worried." She thought to herself.

She knew she needed to leave, she needed to get out. She doesn't want them to feel sad. And they'll be sad if they find her laying dead on the cold floor.

She tried to reach for the door knob but unfortunately, the other girl reached her by the shoulder, burying the sharp knife on her shoulder. The younger yelled in pain as she felt the cold sharp object slowly pierced through her skin and was quickly drawn back.

"Die, die, DIE!" The older kept saying as she tried to continue to hit the younger. Sage tries to fight back but the multiple cuts and the deep stab wound on her shoulder wasn't helping her. She felt like she was about to slip out of consciousness.

"I can't... Styx.... Daexoen...." She thought, trying so hard to stay conscious for her friends.

"DIE!" She heard the person on top of her say as the other lifted the knife about to stab her chest.

But before she could the door was forced open, "Freeze! You're under arrest."

The timing was once again perfect. The two agents quickly entered the room pointing their guns at the delirious killer while another agent tried to get her off the younger and the knife out of her hand.

"Sage!" Half conscious, Sage looked at the two males beside her.

"I'm sorry" she tried to say as she saw the worry and fear in their eyes. "You're-- You're worried." She said, trying her best to catch her breath.

The two held her, "Hey, it's fine. You're fine." Daexoen said, comforting her the best way they could.

"We did it" Sage quietly said, looking at the delirious suspect being held down by the two agents.

The two nodded, "Yeah, we did," Styx answered as he stroked her hair.

"You're under arrest for attempted murder of Sage Enigmeria and Margaux-" before Agent Brook could finish his sentence the female suddenly started to go on a rampage, attacking the officer holding her.

She broke free from the agent's grasp, "NEVER SAY THAT NAME" She yelled and started to throw everything in the room until she got hold of the bookshelf next to her.

"No!" The agents tried to reach out to the shelf but they weren't close enough to catch the falling furniture.

The trio, unable to move quickly from their place, looked at the shelf in horror as it fell right above them. They knew they couldn't roll away because of the youngest's condition, instead the two males tried to use themselves as shields to lessen the impact towards the female.

The agent Kleio immediately tackles the one responsible. He pointed a gun towards the psychotic student, threatening her to stay still.

"Daexoen! Styx! Sage! Damn it!" Agent Brook cried, trying to get the shelf off the three but it was too heavy for him alone. Luckily, they were prepared to call for extra back up. It didn't take long for more agents and a paramedic to arrive in the campus.

It took about 8 agents to get the shelf off the three. Worried was an understatement for the feeling the two agents felt after seeing the three unconsciously lying on the floor.

As soon as another officer took the suspected female out of Agent Kleio's grasp, the latter agent leaped out towards his unconscious son, "Paramedics!" Agent Kleio started to call out.

It wasn't a pleasant view. All three of them were unconscious, they were all bleeding, and the female's breathing wasn't stable. The two boys were bleeding from their head because of the strong impact of the shelf. The female was bleeding through her stab wounds, especially the deep cut through her shoulder.

As soon as the paramedics entered, the three were immediately placed onto stretchers and rushed to the hospital.

The students were all shocked when they saw the police officers dragging their known students' president with handcuffs in an almost delirious situation. But they were even more worried when they saw the three students being carried out of the hospital by stretchers and placed into ambulances.

It was a terrifying scene to watch especially how they tried to revive the almost breathless female. She was almost out of blood while the other two had hard blows on their head and back.

That bookshelf wasn't just any other bookshelf, it was made out of snake wood. One of the heaviest woods in the world. Not only was the shelf heavy but there were also multiple hardcover books and other decor on the shelf.

The three were placed in one room together, while the real student council president was by the room beside them. Unfortunately, not one of the four unconscious students was awake.

If Sage was in a bad situation, Margaux was worse. The president had 17 stab wounds and 5 deep stabs on her stomach, arms and Legs. Her stab wounds weren't the only thing that risked her life. The room she was found in was in abnormal room temperature, the person behind the attempt murder must have lowered the temperature. The president was close on getting a heat stroke if she wasn't found by the three students immediately.

The hospital doors burst open with a panic Guardian, "Excuse me, I'm Sage Enigmeria's Aunt. One of the students of Deviox that were brought here." Sage's aunt frantically said to the nurse at the front desk. Behind her was her husband and son, both were also starting to panic as well after receiving the call from the agents.

The nurse quickly knew who she was talking about, "They're by the north wing, Room 25." The nurse answered as she pointed towards the right direction.

Hyuna sighed before looking back at the nurse, "Thank you." She said before rushing to the direction of the room.

They were practically running towards the said room. Once they entered she instantly saw her niece laying on the second bed. Her bed was between the two male students, who until then as well were still unconscious.

Hyuna didn't mind the agents sitting beside the other students. She walked straight up to her niece, holding her hand trying to contain tears from flowing as she saw the situation the other was in.

She gazed upon the bandages and stitched Sage got before looking at the younger's bruised face. "Sage, you scared us. Please stop making me worry" she said to her unconscious niece.

"Are you her guardian?" Agent Brook asked her husband.

Her uncle looked at the equally distraught agent, "Yes, I'm Eric. And she's my wife; Sage's aunt, Hyuna. And our son Jansen" her uncle, introduced them.

"I'm Agent Brook, Daexoen's uncle" he introduced himself as he pointed towards his nephew lying on the left side bed. "And he's Agent Kleio, Styx's father" he introduced his partner who was sitting beside his son by the right side bed.

Jansen couldn't help but ask the agent, "What happened? Why are they here? Why is my cousin covered with stab wounds?"

Agent Brook sighed, "Honestly, we also don't know. All we know is they called us to go to an old hotel. When we arrived they were with another student in the verge of death" he said

"We asked them what happened but they didn't answer us. They were determined to catch the person behind this first. They convinced us to get evidence first. We couldn't do anything but just follow them. Next thing we know, we found her with the suspect, she was covered with wounds." Agent Kleio added.

The other three nodded, "But why are they also unconscious?" Jansen asked, pointing at the other two students with his cousin.

Agent Kleio stood up, making his way to Agent Brook, "The lunatic pushed a shelf too heavy for them to get out of. They hit their head trying to shield the youngest"

Hyuna continued to look at her niece, "Were they caught? The person who did this." Her aunt asked, without taking her eyes off the female student.

Agent Brook nodded, "Yes. Luckily, she was."

"What did the doctor say?" Eric asked.

Agent Brook cleared his throat, "The self was too heavy, they hit their head and it's not impossible for them to get a broken bone but aside from that they're okay." He answered, he looked at the unconscious female. "Sage's wound on her shoulder was deep but luckily it didn't hit a nerve. She lost a lot of blood earlier and was in a bit of danger while coming here but they quickly revived her. She's stable now." He added, looking at her with sympathy.

"Why are they still unconscious? When will they wake up?"

"We don't know yet. The doctor said it might take a while because of the strong impact"

After that everyone in the room stayed silent. It wasn't an awkward silence, more like a sympathetic one. Each one was worried for the other.

Hyuna kept a tight hold on Sage's hand. Praying for her niece to be alright. The trauma she had losing her sister was eating her up every time she looked at her unconscious niece.

"Why do you always worry me, Sage? Why didn't you tell me you were in something this dangerous? Why are you keeping things from me?" She thought to herself, mentally talking to the young carbon copy of her sister. "Please God, wake her up. I already lost my sister, I can't afford to lose my niece."
