Luna Gabby’s POV
I could feel the weight of Kaden's eyes on me as I stepped back from Henry, the tension in the air thickening. The way he stood there, his gaze filled with confusion, it was clear that he hadn’t expected to find me in this position.
“Luna Gabby?” Kaden asked, his voice low, almost uncertain. “What... what’s going on?”
I took a deep breath and closed the distance between us. His confusion was clear, but I couldn’t afford to let it distract me. “Kaden,” I said softly, my voice was steady but filled with urgency, “where is Lira?”
“She’s inside,” he said, his voice still uncertain, but he didn’t move to follow up. “I... I just came out to get some fresh air. I didn’t expect this.” His eyes flicked to Henry, and then back to me. “Do you know him?”
