At the Castle of the Black Moon, time seemed to have stopped.
Among vampires, days were not like those of humans. The sun did not control their rhythm, and the silence of the castle was almost always present. The long dark corridors, the ancient stones, and the old portraits created the feeling that every wall had a story to tell.
Kelly slowly opened her eyes.
She remained still for a few moments, staring at the ceiling above her.
Her dream was still there.
The woman who looked like her.
The scene where she was holding Jasmine’s hand.
And above all, that disturbing feeling…
As if a part of her had already lived through all of this.
Kelly gently placed her hand over her heart.
Since arriving at the castle, she had discovered things she never could have imagined.
But one question always came back.
The same one.
“Who am I really?”
She didn’t have time to think any further.
There was a soft knock on the door.
“Kelly?”
She recognized Jasmine’s voice.
“Come in.”
The door opened.
The vampire queen entered with an old book in her hands.
This time, her face was different.
She didn’t look like the ruler everyone feared.
She simply looked like a woman carrying a heavy secret for far too long.
Kelly looked at the book.
“What is that?”
Jasmine stepped closer and placed it in front of her.
“It’s time for you to discover part of the truth.”
Kelly sat up straighter.
Her expression became serious.
“The truth about my mother?”
Jasmine nodded.
She gently ran her hand over the ancient cover.
A symbol was engraved on it.
The black moon.
The same symbol as the one on Emma White’s letter.
Kelly felt her breath catch.
“This book belonged to my mother?”
“Yes.”
Jasmine paused.
“Emma White was protecting a secret that vampires have been searching for centuries.”
Kelly slowly opened the book.
The pages were old, but the writing was still readable.
Ancient stories were written inside.
Stories of wars, clans, and a queen whose name had disappeared with time.
Then Kelly turned a page.
And she stopped.
Her face changed.
A portrait was drawn on the paper.
A woman who looked like her.
Far too much.
The same features.
The same eyes.
Her fingers began to tremble slightly.
“No…”
Her voice was almost a whisper.
“This can’t be possible.”
Jasmine looked at the page.
She knew this moment would come.
“This woman was a vampire queen.”
Kelly slowly raised her eyes.
“Why does she look like me?”
Jasmine took a breath.
“Because she was your ancestor.”
Silence filled the room.
Kelly felt as if the ground beneath her feet had disappeared.
“So I’m a vampire?”
Jasmine remained silent for a few seconds.
Then she shook her head.
“Not exactly.”
Kelly frowned.
“I don’t understand.”
Jasmine sat down in front of her.
“Your blood is different.”
She carefully chose her words.
“You do not completely belong to the human world… nor do you fully belong to the vampire world.”
Kelly looked at her hands.
“Then what am I?”
Jasmine answered softly:
“An hybrid.”
The word remained hanging in the air.
“A person born between two worlds.”
Kelly stayed silent.
She had spent her entire life trying to understand who she was.
And now, she was discovering that she was neither what she thought she was…
Nor what others believed.
“The ancient clans think my existence should not exist, don’t they?”
Jasmine gently nodded.
“Yes.”
Her gaze became darker.
“They are afraid of what you could become.”

In another part of the castle, Stéphane Anderson watched the preparations.
The vampires moved quickly through the corridors.
Weapons were being prepared.
Guards were taking their positions.
Since Kelly’s arrival, the entire kingdom had been under tension.
Some vampires saw her return as a blessing.
Others were afraid.
The door opened behind him.
Elena Carter entered.
“The queen is taking a great risk.”
Stéphane turned around.
“You doubt her?”
Elena remained calm.
“I doubt everything that could put our kingdom in danger.”
She looked toward the corridor.
“Even someone who could be our salvation.”
Stéphane’s expression turned cold.
“Be careful, Elena.”
She slightly bowed her head before leaving.
But in her mind, only one thought remained.
Kelly White must not discover certain secrets.
Not yet.
---
Meanwhile, in the territory of the ancient clans, George Locker prepared his next move.
Alex Côme stood before him.
“The queen is protecting Kelly.”
He looked at his leader.
“We cannot reach her directly.”
George remained silent.
Then a cruel smile appeared on his face.
“Then we won’t touch Kelly.”
Alex frowned.
“What do you mean?”
George turned toward an old painting hanging on the wall.
The portrait of Emma White.
“We will use her past.”
A woman’s voice echoed behind them.
“Are you sure you want to do this?”
Mégane Valérie appeared from the shadows.
Her gaze was calm, but her expression was unsettling.
George did not move.
“To prevent this prophecy from coming true…”
He stared at the painting.
“I am willing to pay any price.”

That evening, Kelly joined Jasmine on the castle balcony.
The moon illuminated the silent forest.
For the first time since her arrival, Kelly no longer felt only fear.
She was still lost.
She still had hundreds of questions.
But she was beginning to see Jasmine differently.
Not only as a vampire queen.
But as someone who had suffered.
Kelly looked at the landscape before asking:
“Why do I trust you?”
Jasmine turned her eyes toward her.
A faint smile appeared.
“Because a part of you remembers me.”
Kelly lowered her head.
“And what if I’m not the person you are waiting for?”
Jasmine gently stepped closer.
“Then I will take the time to get to know the person you are today.”
Those words touched Kelly.
She didn’t want to admit it, but she needed to hear them.
She was about to answer when suddenly…
An alarm rang throughout the castle.
The walls trembled slightly.
Screams echoed through the corridors.
“We are under attack!”
Jasmine’s face changed instantly.
Her gaze became cold.
Her red eyes shone in the night.
The vampire queen had returned.
She stepped in front of Kelly.
“Stay behind me.”
Kelly felt her heart race.
Far away, in the forest, silhouettes appeared between the trees.
Dozens of red eyes stared at the castle.
They had arrived.
The ancient clans had launched their attack.
And this time…
The war between vampires had truly begun.
