Lorren’s POV
I hissed seeing him from afar as I walked away. I didn’t want to have anything to do with him, I made the kids walked in also.
“Mom, is that dad?” Abel’s voice made me come to reality, I knew one day or soon, I’ll have to come to answer the triplets question of who their biological father was.
The one that didn’t want them but then, I realized how much impact it was on them right now.
“Tyler is your dad ok.” I shunned him down, how could he come now? To spoil the little happiness I have managed to build up.
“No mom. I don’t want uncle Tyler as my dad.” That was Kira’s voice. I opened my mouth to say something but I couldn’t say anything.
Tyler only looked at me and shrugged, I know how much the kids love Tyler so Kira saying that came as a shock to me.
“Go inside your room.” I commanded the three of them, they grudgingly walked away into their room while it was left with just Tyler and I.
“I can’t believe Kira could say that? Where did she heard that word?” Tyler patted me on my shoulder then the doorbell rang.
“I’ll take that.” I tried stopping him but he already left, after few minutes, he returned back but with no one.
“Damian wants to see you Lorren, I think you should give him a chance to talk to you. I told him I’m only going to let him in if you see him.” He said.
“I won’t see him, not now and never. He should go back.” I pushed Tyler out of the way rushing into my room as I locked the door from behind.
I sat on my bed cuddling the pillow as I pulled the duvet over my body, my tears starting to swell up. I remembered everything.
Our memories together.
The rejection and the pain he had caused me.
The discovery of me knowing I’m just a substitute to him.
Or him abandoning me and his kids at the critical moment when I needed him the most.
I just couldn’t remove the thoughts off my mind as my tears streamed down my face. “Arghhhh.” I cried.
I didn’t realize when I slept off but I woke up to the thunders of the rain falling outside, I stretched a bit going outside my room.
I didn’t know what made me check outside, I saw Damian kneeling in the rain, his body was soaked with water. “It’s dangerous of him to be that way.” I thought.
I couldn’t watch him in pain so I decided to open the door for him but found out he already fainted. I called Tyler to help me out as we took him inside.
His temperature was high and he was feeling cold, I decided to take him to my room as Tyler took out his cloth and some of his pair pants for him to wear, I went outside.
Soon, Tyler came to meet me, “You should listen to what he has to say Lorren. He can’t come over here for just a filmsy excuse, I think he really needed to see you.” He said.
I sighed, “He hurt me, Tyler. I’m still being hunted with what he did, I just don’t want to believe he would hurt me that much I still felt the impact in my heart.”
He pulled me into a hug patting my back slowly, “I know but he still deserves a chance to be heard out, if he tries anything funny, remember I’m always here.” He pecked my forehead.
His words seemed to soothe me a bit as I nod my head positively. Just this once to hear him out, whatever he has to say.
**** NEXT MORNING
I placed the last dish on the dining table as the kids came in, they were all dressed for school, none of them were saying anything to me. “Good morning mom.” They all chorused together.
“Morning pumpkins.” I answered them back sharing their own portion of meal as they ate it all.
“Today, uncle Tyler and I won’t be able to drop you in school, the driver uncle will be the one to do that so be a good kids ok.” They nodded their head positively at my words.
I took them outside making sure they were okay as they entered the car and it drove away. I walked back in , just in time to when the doctor was leaving.
“How’s he doing?” I asked her. She passed me the hospital report as she adjusted her coat.
“He’ll soon be awake but he shouldn’t have been in the rain for that long considering his current health condition.” I was confused on what she meant.
“What do you mean?” I asked her with my brows raised up in confusion.
“There are still some dangeroud d**g in his body, even though most were flushed out but if he had stayed longer in the rain yesterday then he would have been dead.” She said before leaving.
I couldn’t believe what I heard, I walked over to my room door and pushed it open going inside, I met him awake.
I frowned my face going to sit beside him, “Let’s get this over with quickly. Why are you here?”
He sat down straight, “Lorren, I know I hurt you a lot and I’m sorry for my mistakes. There’s no amount of excuses or apologies that can make up for what I did, I was stupid…”
I interrupted him before he could finish his words, “Just go straight to the point.”
“Bella lied to me, she was in conspiration with Steven, my secretary. They both defrauded me of my proprieties canceling all my cards and drugged him with dangerous hard substances.”
“It was after you left that I knew I was in love with you. Please give me a second chance to make it up to you and to our kids, I promise to cherish it well and prove myself enough.”
I balled my fist in anger standing up, “So if you weren’t defraud by Bella and Steven, you never had the intention of coming back to atone for your mistakes.”
“No, not that Lorren, I had no confidence to…” I slapped him across his face before he could finish his sentence.
“Listen, I hate you and everything that has to do with you.”
“I don’t care about what your life is about right now but you see getting a second chance from me, No! A no can do for that.”
