Chapter two

Lorren’s POV

At first , I thought I saw a flick of emotions ran through his eyes. But it was a lie, he doesn’t care. “You should abort it.” That was the last words from him.

Forcing me to sign the paper, I signed it before going upstairs into my room as I packed my luckages in my suitcase.

I stopped for a while, my tears was pouring profusely. What would I do now? How will I move on and survive.

He didn’t even leave me a survival instinct. He just want me gone. Thinking for a while, I didn’t realize the time was gone until the door pushed open and Bella came in.

“Why are you here?” I asked her.

“How does it feel being abandoned by the one you loved.” I rolled my eyes at her statement.

“I’m not in the mood.” I replied, if it was another day, I couldn’t have given her back the attitude she gave me.

“I think I can try putting you in the mood.” She shrugged. I rolled my eyes at that words.

“It’s funny how you thought he chose you, what if he’s just being delusional.” I tried to hide my shaky voice as I said that.

“He chose me over you. That alone should tell you how much he cherish me…” She paused which made me look at her as she approached me.

“What are you doing?” I asked raising my brow up in confusion.

“Let’s assume one of us was injured, who would he save without an explanation and who would he blame.” She said.

I haven’t seen someone so shameless as she was so I just opened my mouth. But then she did something I never expected, she knelt down in front of me, her tears pouring down.

Immediately Damian came in, he helped her up to sit down on the stool beside the bed stand. He faced me and thwack.

He slapped me! I was shocked and stood up. “Why would you be so vicious to attack her?” I stared at the man I had loved for a year and half.

I was unable to say anything, I just listened to his words, I was stuck. Not believing this nightmare is believing it.

“You just entered and concluded without any explanation, not even from me!” I asked him in shock.

“I already saw what was needed, you hated her Lorren, how come I haven’t seen such side of you before, why was I so blinded?” He lashed out.

“Why didn’t you think maybe I wasn’t the one? You never thought maybe she was lying? I am pregnant for God’s sake.”

I think that was the last straw I could collect as I lashed out back. “Yes, it was contracted because of the pressure that was on you but nobody forced you to ask me to make it real.”

He didn’t say anything but took Bella and when he got to the door, he stopped turning his dead to look at me, “I’m giving you till evening to finish packing and leave the mansion.” And with that, he left.

I cleaned my tears, I was done trying, I made up my mind to leave as I packed the few of my belongings remaining clothes.

I took my box dragging it along with me.

I stopped breathing heavily as I sat down on the pavement beside the road tired. I’ve been walking since morning and I’m yet to find a single job yet.

It was already getting late when a car flashed its lights on me. A guy came out of the car and he turned out to be Tyler, one of my childhood friend.

He offered to let me stay at his house for a while, until I get myself back on tracks which I found interesting and accepted.

8 Years Later.

“Abel…”

“Xavier…” I called out to the twins while dressing up Kira, their third. The two came running to me fully dressed with Tyler strolling behind them.

Raising up his hands, he shrugged which made me chuckled. The years before had been hectic and really tough journey for me.

From Damian blocking all the cards with me, to him blocking my only chance of survival not allowing most companies accept me in as their secretary.

I tried every day to step up but it seemed as though he was in every of my way while listening to Bella’s manipulation. That was when I had a change of mind, to have a company of my own.

Working different minimal jobs, trying to raise up money to care for myself and the triplets. Slowly before and now I’be opened my own office months ago.

It was hard but seeing the triplets just beside me and Tyler support made me feel much better because I know I can overcome anything with them.

“Mom, good morning.” Both kids chorused together with their smiles spreading out across their faces.

“How was your night damsels?” I took one last look at Kira before spraying a little bit of perfume on her and I did the same to Abel and Xavier.

“It was cool.” Both chorused the same time making me smile. I took one last look at the kids dressing before murmuring to myself, “Perfect!”

“Finally done.” I faced the kids.

“Mom, can we not go to school today.” I frowned at Xavier. I tucked at his nose as he smile, he was the replica of Damian.

Everything about him reminds me of Damian but I knew it was too late. “Not today Xavier.”

“A lazy bum like you wouldn’t want to.” Everyone in the room laughed, Tyler came to my side pecking my cheek which made me blush.

For years past, I realized I was falling for him slowly but not deep enough , I wish I could reciprocate back his feelings to him.

“Abel is more lazier than me. He planned to feign sickness so as not to go to school.” He answered, his eyes pouting like a puppy, I laughed and flicked his head with a knock.

“No more skipping of schools, skip school and no food tonight.” They all rushed out leaving both Tyler and I in the room.

“Soo…” I draw out. He sat opposite me.

“I thought about what you said last night, we could try to build our relationship, slowly. We can give it a try.” His eyes beamed up as I said that, he hugged me tightly.

“I’m glad you want to give it a try and I’m promising you wouldn’t regret it.” He said, I smiled at him as he smiled back.

He moved closer to me, pulling me closer, he pecked me on my lips, slowly turning into a kiss, I reciprocated back which turned into a deep kiss.

One way or another, I have to move on and give my children the best and not keep holding on to the pasts.

I was busy enjoying the kiss that I had forgotten about the kids until Abel came and shouted my name. We both broke the kiss embarrassed then burst into laughter.

“I will be taking them to school today, you need to rest and enjoy your leave at work.” He said, I agreed going back inside after bidding them bye.

Life doesn’t always seem rosy but when one is surrounded by the right people, it’ll come to term with each other.

My phone ringing interrupted my thoughts, stepping closer to it and took it from the desk, the name displayed on the screen made my smile dropped.

“DAMIAN.”
