Third Person's P.O.V "Why did you ask for me? So much so that you had to ask Joshua's permission." Gevia asked, suspicious of what Alex had planned. Nonetheless, Gevia followed Alex without a complaint. Alex continued walking, not having any thoughts about where they were going to take Gevia. Alex was clueless and hadn't thought of that thoroughly. All Alex could think about earlier was Gevia's saddened face and how they wanted to cheer Gevia up, but now that Gevia was in front, Alex didn't know what to say. "I thought everything was going to be fine after the gala." Alex started small talk, which Alex doesn't usually engage in. It was to buy Alex some time to actually think about where they were going. You had better be okay with Joshua after this, you son of a b***h. Alex thought. "That's just what you think. I knew something like this would happen. And it's all my fault. Now, Joshua's life isn't so peaceful anymore." Gevia sighed, shaking her head. Regrets written all over her beautiful face. Even as Gevia sulks, she still looked beautiful. The grief residing in Gevia's tone made Alex spin around and gave Gevia a tight hug. The hug made Gevia shiver in vulnerability before hugging back. Alex's scent calmed Gevia down and Alex's built body made Gevia feel secure. Gevia wanted to stay like that, but she knew that they were at risk of being found out. There was always a downside to everything. When will we ever be so free to hug each other out in the open like this? Gevia thought. She inhaled deeply, inflating her lungs in the process. The cool air felt soothing in Gevia's lungs. "It's not your fault. Plus, this isn't the first time that Joshua has been exposed to the media." Alex broke the hug and caressed Gevia's cheek, to add to the comforting sensation. It made Gevia wonder what happened, or how that happened. Gevia knew how much Joshua loved his peaceful life. He didn't want to be a part of any drama, but Gevia was the only exception. The confused eyebrows made it clear that Gevia wanted more information and not just some half-assed story. Alex clicked their tongue and cleared their throat, readying themselves to become a storyteller, but backed off. "I think you should ask Joshua about that yourself. It really isn't my story to tell." Gevia sighed, anticipating something like that to come out of Alex's mouth. Gevia nodded, not prying anymore. "Although I can tell you this." "What is it?" "Cale is still thinking about the past." Alex led Gevia to where Gevia bawled her eyes out when she was feeling really down. Ever since then, that place has been Gevia's comfort place and Gevia has this feeling that it was the same for Joshua and Cale. Gevia sat down and looked up at the sky, counting the clouds that were seen in the sky. "What are you thinking about?" Alex asked, staring at Gevia's pretty side profile. Gevia's long natural eyelashes and her eyebrows that were on fleek. Gevia's straight nose and her pinkish lips were all picturisque- as if Gevia was drawn and not a real person. Alex had the sudden urge to kiss Gevia's lips, but deemed it not appropriate to do that at the moment. "I'm thinking about nothing, but at the same time, everything." "I-" Alex couldn't understand it with words exactly but they knew what Gevia was on about. The feeling of confusion that even the person himself/herself can't decipher. Rationality was out of the question. Reason was nowhere to be found. And meanings were out of the question. Not just with what was happening at the moment, but Gevia even thought about the meaning of life. What was life all about? What was the purpose of life? Why was a person being born? The world is cruel already without human factors as a hazard to one's growth. "I'm sorry, I'm talking about nonsense." Gevia dismissed her thoughts, shooing them away. "No, I'd rather listen to those than meaningless facts about someone else." the statement made Gevia's heart flutter. Gevia couldn't help but gush. Alex's attention was always on Gevia. Alex was acting all deeply in love. With hazy eyes and a precious smile, Alex was confirmed as someone who was in love.
