Third Person's P.O.V
"Ladies and gentlemen! How are we doing!" the emcee excitedly asked the crowd.
The gym was crowded. With the continuous roaring sounds of the crowd, and the whistles of boys filled the gym with noise pollution. Those who were trying to enjoy the pageant silently and peacefully wanted to go home; namely Alex Samson. Alex hated non-harmonic noises. Alex put on earplugs to reduce the noise.
Alex had a VIP seat, of course. Alex refused to get touched accidentally. Alex went to the principal's office to get a specific space for Alex. Of course, the principal was more than accommodating to Alex. Looking at it from the principal's view, it was as if they were killing two birds with one stone. With Gevia competing and with Alex watching, both inside the same premises, the gym was bound to be filled. That equation equaled to more money, more funding.
"Today is a very special day! With a contestant that everyone wanted to see!" the crowd roared even louder and harsher. The emcee was hyping the audience so much so that the noise was still bothering Alex.
It was unusual for Gevia and Alex to compete in contests that neither of them were in. The school- the system needed to do something so that they could enter competitions without each other's presence. It seemed that Alex and Gevia were too focused on each other that they forgot that there was a whole world outside theirs.
The system found a way to counter that. The system used Alex's heart to somehow bait Alex into entering that gaming competition. And now, since Gevia wasn't soft-hearted, unlike Alex and was barbaric in a way, the system used the student body for voting and overruling Gevia's power. They were two complete and successful operations. The principal grinned, watching the pageant live on her TV. The evil grin on the Principal's face was suspicious.
"Let's not stall any longer and let the pageant begin! Starting with contestant number 1!"
The contestant suddenly appeared and started walking to showcase her walk. That wend on and on until it was Gevia's turn. Of course, Gevia's number was very well advertised by the school. Gevia's number got called out and Gevia appeared. Alex stared at Gevia's magnificence. Gevia's glow seemed different but bright.
Alex couldn't help but stare and ogle at Gevia's presence. Gevia's smile was firm. Alex couldn't help but smile as well. Alex's heart kept on thumping, louder than the beat of music. Gevia couldn't see the crowd because of the lights, but Gevia could feel that Alex was watching her.
The noise suddenly disappeared and all Alex could hear was their own heart beating for Gevia. The feeling lingered even after the first round ended. Gevia shone the brightest. Out of all, Gevia was Alex's favourite. Alex didn't care if it was because Gevia was the girl of their life or if it was because it was Gevia.
"Whew! That was a nice first round!" the emcee received a satisfying cheer from the crowd.
Gevia went back to her dressing room and her next outfit was already prepared by none other than Joshua. Joshua helped Gevia change. The two completely forgot that they were both a girl and a boy. They were in a rush. Joshua had to apply a retouch on Gevia's makeup. The adrenaline was what drove both of them even though they were in a hustle.
That continued. While Gevia walked on stage, Joshua was busy preparing Gevia's next outfit and thinking of adjustments to Gevia's retouch. Joshua wanted to highlight different parts of Gevia's makeup, depending on what outfit was next.
It was finally the round that everyone waited for. The swimsuit round. Alex was also waiting for that round. It had been a long time since Alex and Gevia had s*x. Alex still remembers the first time they touched Gevia. It was a surreal moment, and Alex wanted to have more of that. Freely if they could. But that would only happen if the situation was different.
"Contestant number 1!" the round started without much delay.
They all had nice bodies and each and everyone received the same number of whistles and cheers from the crowd. The cheers and crowd boosted the contestant's confidence. Smiles a bit brighter than the past rounds. When it was finally Gevia's turn, phones were immediately brought out and cameras. Gevia wasn't one to show too much skin if necessary.
Gevia was sought after by many modeling agencies. Artists, celebrities and actors/actresses chased her, but Gevia would always turn them down. Going against Alex was her top priority.
When Gevia walked onto the stage, flashes and red light from recording cameras were seen. It can not be denied that Gevia's haters shut their mouths up. Alex looked at Gevia with a hungry look. Gevia's creamy body and long legs were the highlight. Breasts were bouncing and the smokey effect on Gevia's eyes was catching attention. Joshua gave himself a pat on the back, congratulating himself.
But something happened. A glass shattered out of nowhere. It caused a disturbance in the festive momentum. Gevia immediately ducked and Alex immediately stood up. They were on their way to Gevia's side, but Alex was slowed by the panicked crowd. When Alex finally got on the stage, Gevia was already gone.
Gevia was fetched by Aeron. The shooting then happened right after Gevia and Aeron were outside of the gym. Aeron and Gevia get inside Aeron's car. Aeron's timing was perfect.
"Here, wear this." Aeron gave her jacket to Gevia. Gevia didn't even notice that it was cold until she had finally calmed down and wore the jacket.
"What the f**k just happened?" Gevia asked, bewildered. A shooting had just happened in their school.
Everyone was unsettled, even more the principal. She was pacing back and forth, biting her nails out of frustration. It wasn't the general students' parents that the principal was worrying about. It was the captain's parents, Alejandro and Dave. Those three people were the primary source of funds for the school.
What was the principal going to say to those three? The security of the school was at risk- even the school itself. She needed to find an excuse and a good enough reason why their child should stay in that school.
"I don't even know." it then occurred to Gevia that she needed to call Joshua.
"Do you have your phone with you?" Aeron fished out her phone from her right pocket and gave it to Gevia. Gevia, in a hurry, dialed Joshua's number without noticing who was Aeron's wallpaper.
Joshua picked up the phone right away.
"Hey! Are you okay?" Gevia asked.
[I'm okay, I'm okay! How about you? Did you get injured?] Gevia sighed in relief when Joshua was okay.
"I'm okay. I'm with Aeron."
[Oh, Alex and the captain came here.]
"Are they both with you?" Gevia shifted a bit so that the phone was far enough so that Aeron couldn't overhear the conversation.
[No, I came to search for you, but I saw them behind me. With such tension too.] Gevia sighed in relief again. Knowing that Alex was okay meant two things.
One was that Alex was literally uninjured from all that had happened, and that Alex was really at the venue, watching Gevia and cheering for her. Alex stood true to their words.
"I see. Can you bring me my clothes? I'm still wearing the swimsuit. I'm f*****g cold, bitch." Joshua laughed.
[See you where?]
"Can we go to your house?"
[You bet. Let's go.]
Gevia turned off the phone before giving it back to Aeron, still not noticing the wallpaper on Aeron's phone. Gevia gave Aeron a thankful smile.
"Thank you for that."
"No problem, Gev."
"Gev?" Aeron nodded with a cute grin on her face.
"Yep. Can I give you a ride?"
"You sure? It's quite far?" Aeron turned the engine on and started driving out of school.
"I don't care. Where?"
Gevia gave Aeron directions while they talked about what had happened. On the other hand, Joshua was having a hard time easing both the captain and Alex's hostility towards each other. When Joshua said that he was going home to meet Gevia, they both offered him a ride, resulting in a verbal fight. Joshua was in a dilemma, but then decided.
"Rock, paper, scissors, go."
"What?"
"Huh?" Joshua facepalmed.
"My patience is wearing thin. My friend is out there in a swimsuit and you're both selfishly doing this right now? I'd rather run on my own."
"Bring it on." the captain faced Alex and Alex agreed silently.
They both did rock, paper, scissors and Alex won. Alex grinned, sticking out their tongue before getting out their car. The captain hesitantly got inside the car and Joshua, without shame, told Alex to hurry up and drive. Alex was guided by Joshua and when they finally saw the house, they were surprised to see a yellow supercar right in front of them. Gevia waved at the car before it drove away.
"Who?"
