Third Person's P.O.V Gevia was feeling restless. She hasn't been dragged anywhere that often by Alex. Although she sees Alex at school, she doesn't talk to Alex nor does she want to ask Alex about why Alex hasn't been paying her any attention. That would make her seem like she liked the idea of being dragged somewhere by Alex. That would be to Alex's liking. She didn't want to give Alex the satisfaction of making it obvious that Alex had an affect on her. Not even in the slightest. She kept on searching for Alex, and she did find her. But Alex wasn't paying her any mind. She was intrigued about Alex's sudden distance. "Hello? Earth to Gevia? Hello? Is Gevia in there?" Joshua asked, concerned about his friend. Joshua definitely noticed the sudden mental absence of Gevia. Although he didn't know the cause of it, he wanted to be at least helpful. If something was bothering his friend, he would want to jump in and help without any hesitation. But Gevia wasn't giving him any information. "Oh, sorry. What were we talking about?" Gevia sounded sheepishly embarrassed. "Are you sure you're okay?" Joshua asked, really concerned this time. She grabbed the pen at her desk, twirling it around her hand effortlessly. She was spinning the pen- something that she does when she's distracted. Joshua noticed the gesture and began to feel even more worried. "Are you okay? You seem distracted nowadays." Joshua stated blatantly. There was no meaning in beating around the bush. He waited for Gevia to settle down for a few days, but Gevia wasn't calming down. Distracted as days passed. "Hmm? Oh, it's nothing. I just feel like something is missing." she couldn't exactly tell Joshua what she was missing. She hadn't even disclosed to Joshua that Alex and her were hooking up when she apparently was straight and would never flirt with Alex. Joshua didn't notice any sudden change to their day-to-day lives. He was in the dark with everything. "Is there?" Joshua asked. "I can't name it. It's on the tip of my tongue." Gevia hid it. The very reason why. Then she caught a whiff of Alex's scent. Gevia's head immediately turned to where she caught a sniff of it. Alex was looking at her phone, head down. Almost as if panicking and bothered. "Are you sure?" Joshua asked. Gevia saw how concerned her friend was. She felt bad that she'd been spacing out quite often. It would make Joshua think that she wasn't interested in Joshua's stories and jokes. She slapped herself mentally, hissing inside. "I'm fine. Really. I'm just thinking about something completely and utterly useless. I don't even know why I'm thinking about it." Gevia sighed, shaking off the thought. Right. Why am I even thinking about her in the first place? I shouldn't give her the right to mess me up internally. Me? Not being able to function without her touching me? No way. But she just couldn't ignore Alex's bothered expression. She felt the need to go ask Alex what was happening and if Alex was okay. After Gevia witnessed how cold and how not a father figure Alejandro was, she thought that maybe the reason why Alex is who they are right now was because of Alejandro. Gevia saw how bothered Alex was and that was the first time that she had seen Alex so bothered and conflicted. "It's not utterly nothing and useless if it's bothering you so much for days. You shouldn't invalidate your feelings." Gevia wanted to hug Joshua. Joshua was a great friend to Gevia. Gevia wanted to tell Joshua everything at this point, but everything still hadn't settled down yet. Gevia wasn't sure what she was feeling for Alex, so she'd been hiding from Joshua this entire time. She didn't want to provide anything that hasn't been proven yet. Otherwise, it would be false. Gevia doesn't like it when she's not sure. She's not denying anything at the moment, but she isn't really accepting any possible reason either. She needs more. She needed something stronger for her to realize her own feelings, or for her to disregard what she was feeling as a fleeting lustful moment. "I'm still figuring things out. I'll tell you when I'm sure of it." Joshua grinned, showing his white pearls. "Is it your feelings for Alex?" Joshua laughed. Gevia froze in her seat, laughing it off as well. "I'm joking. Anyway, you can come run to me if you need a second point of view." "Mhm, I will. Who else would I run to?" Joshua giggled. "There are a lot who want to be your friend." Gevia rolled her eyes. Alex got up and left in a rush. Alex looked like she was pissed. While Joshua and Gevia were busy talking about happy things, Alex was on her way to her doom. Alejandro wanted to talk to Alex. So Alex had to leave their remaining classes and went home. When Alex was home, they immediately went to Alejandro's office without knocking. Alejandro was looking at his phone. Sounds coming from his phone were grunting, and something being hit on with a bat. Alex's intestines immediately churned. Alex hid their expressions. "You're here," Alejandro said without looking up from his phone. "What do you want?" "What did you do with that Gevia?" Alex's heart dropped. If he had known what Alex's feelings were for Gevia, he would surely have done everything in his power to eradicate Gevia and Dave. He hated Dave that much. There was something deeper concerning Alejandro's hatred towards Dave. Something that Alejandro could never forget. Something that only Alejandro and Dave knew. "I just drove her home. That's it." Alejandro's eyes looked up from his phone, searching for an ounce of lie in Alex's face, tone or words. "Hmm," "Is there something else?" Alex didn't want to stay long when Alejandro was present. Alex could only tolerate Alejandro's presence if Gevia was present. Gevia was Alex's solace. The home which Alex searched for a very long time. Alex found it in Gevia. The ability to speak one's mind and emotions freely without the thought of any consequences after. "I know you're a dyke. I don't care if you have multiple partners at the same time, but don't pick that f*****g Gevia." Alex's ear twitched. Alex wanted to tear Alejandro's mouth for cussing Gevia's name. Alex's blood was boiling with so much hatred that if Alejandro continued, Alex would storm away. But they know. They knew that if they were to walk out, that would make Alejandro more suspicious. Alex had no choice, but to stay and keep a level-head. Hurtful words were nothing new to Alex, but someone saying trash about their beloved was something that they would not like. "We did nothing. Why would I be with her when she's so hot-tempered and has a nasty mouth? You better check your facts right, Alejandro." Alejandro smiled. "You had better stay away from that girl, Alex." Alex turned around and went to the door. "Pfft, you don't have to tell me twice." Alex closed the door. While they were on their way to their room, their fists were closed, ready to punch someone that got into their way. Alex slammed the door and punched the wall so hard. Alex was very angry at Alejandro. Alex couldn't believe that everything was finally getting better, only for it to shatter in pieces in a second. By someone none other than their father. Alex kept punching the wall. Too blinded with rage, Alex didn't notice that their knuckles were bleeding. Alex didn't feel it stinging. Alex didn't feel the pain. Only did Alex stop when Alex felt a crack in the wall. Alex looked at their knuckles. The hot liquid was smudged along their knuckles and on the wall. The crimson red liquid was beautiful in Alex's eyes. "f**k my life." Alex groaned, turning over to the other side. Alex grabbed their phone from their pocket and looked at Gevia's photos. "It's only you. And I hate how much you're giving me so much comfort when we are enemies." Gevia sneezed, feeling as if she was being talked about, but immediately shrugging it off. God, why is everyone thinking about me so much these days? Gevia thought to herself. "Are you cold?" Joshua asked. "Nah, I feel like someone's talking bad about me." "Well, you are popular." "Yeah, I guess so. Anyway, are you fine with our report already?" Joshua nodded his head like a little puppy, smiling. Gevia could visualize Joshua having a tail and wagging it. "Alright." Gevia couldn't help but giggle, finding Joshua adorable. "Oh, by the way," Joshua paused. "Hmm? What is it?" "I heard that Alex and her partner haven't finished their report yet." Gevia remained quiet for a short period of time before answering after considering what the best response was. To make it seem like Gevia didn't give a damn, she contemplated. Deducing to the best. "That's better for me. Then I'd be at the top." now Gevia was even more concerned. Never did Alex miss out on anything school related. Alex was competitive when it came to school. Alex would never miss out on anything. "Are you really?" Joshua squinted his eyes, hinting at something that was the total opposite of what Gevia was saying. Gevia had this feeling that Joshua was always on point at everything. He always had keen eyes when it came to the romance of others, but not his. It was a blessing and a curse. Joshua had already accepted that fact. "Of course I am. Psh," "Alright then. Oh, I actually have to go." Joshua got up and gathered all his belongings. "Eh? So early?" Gevia asked, twisting her body so she could see Joshua take off. "Yep! I need to fetch my siblings from school. My mom is out late tonight." Gevia chuckled. "Alright! Take care!" When Joshua was out of sight, Gevia immediately went to the faculty to ask about Alex's partner. The teacher was surprised that Gevia was so polite when she asked and also surprised that Gevia was interested in Alex's partner. When Gevia got the name, she went to search for the said guy. She paired up with a guy? Crazy. I thought she'd pair up with a girl. If it was a girl, she would have chances of the girl finishing the report, unlike with a guy. "Hey, are you Alex's partner?" Gevia asked directly. The guy turned around. "Yes, I am. Why?" "The report is tomorrow. Have you done it?" the guy smirked. "Pfft, I thought she was smart. Guess that was all a fluke. She couldn't even finish the report on time." Gevia's eyebrows stooped low. "Shut the f**k up. If she isn't smart, then you're the same. Relying everything on someone else, motherfucker." the guy groaned. "Listen here, little missy-" "I don't care what you think. If you don't shut up, I won't write your name on that f*****g report." The guy halted for a second, thinking over everything. This was his chance at a work-free report. He sighed, unbelieving that he was about to swallow his pride. "Fine, what do I have to do?" Gevia smiled. "Good, boy. Come with me."
