Gevia's P.O.V I needed something new to wear. I feel like I've already worn everything from my closet. I asked my personal driver to drive me to the mall. "Accompany me inside," I told the butler, and he quietly obliged. I walked fast, trying to spot something desirable. She said that it was casual in the afternoon and then we were going to have a fancy dinner. I don't know how fancy, but she told me to wear formally. I guess it was really fancy. I don't know what she has planned for us tomorrow, but I can tell that she has already planned this from start to finish. She sounded so confident through our texts. I went to a branded shop, skimmed through every dress I could find and gave my butler the ones that I thought looked nice. I didn't even bother trying it on. I know my measurements that much. I know what goes well with my skin, and I know what I want. "Pay for it." I gave him my black credit card and took a quick break. The line was pretty long, so I had time to search for great brands on my phone. I skimmed and skimmed, but nothing really matched my vibe. I wanted something sophisticated. I wanted something dark, but screamed in an intimidating way. I don't know. I like people being afraid of me. "I'm done paying for it, Young Miss." "Let's go." He carried the bags while we strolled around the mall. The bags in his hands were multiplying fast and as we continued strolling, eyes averted to where we were and staring at the bags with luxurious brands in the front. It looked like I was flaunting it. "We're done. Let's go home-" I was about to say that we should go home when I saw a very beautiful maroon dress. I immediately went in and grabbed it. I was so ecstatic to finally grab ahold of it. I went to the counter and witnessed the cashier's shocked expression. "What?" "I_ thank you for purchasing in our store." was all she said before I left. I smiled at myself, happy that I bought the dress. I didn't even check the price tag and just went with it. When I got home, I checked myself out and I looked so freaking hot. Alex suddenly crashed into my mind. Their hands all over my body, invading my personal space. Alex grabbed me by the waist and forced me so that I could look them in the eyes. Stop it. I literally slapped myself. I shouldn't be like this. I'm going to be with Aeron tomorrow. Why the hell do I keep thinking about that self-centered and pretentious b***h? Aeron is very attractive as well and I don't think Aeron fell short on that part. She could be on par with Alex if Aeron really tried. "f**k, Gevia. Stop." I sighed and wiggled out of my dress. I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling with nothing in mind. The ceiling seems to be really interesting at the moment. The animated shards that the glass provided with the help of the moonlight sketched something beautiful. White shards everywhere. Somehow, it made me realize some things. Like how something unforeseen and unprecedented could look so beautiful with just the help of another. Was this what Joshua meant when he said that Alex and I complemented each other? That can't be right. Only now am I getting the hand of understanding Joshua's deep words. No. I refuse to think about it. Alex and I don't go well together. With how they're not really interested in me. They didn't even give a f**k when I almost broke down. The next morning, I woke up still feeling sleepy. My alarm was blaring and my eardrums hurt. I needed to wake up and get ready. I forgot what time I fell asleep last night. I was so stuck on reminding myself that Alex and I would never work that I forgot to check the time. I must've dozed off while shaming Alex. "Alright, let's get this done with." Aeron said she'd come and pick me up, so I guess that's that. I didn't ask for any assistance today. I want everything to scream 'me' when I go out for the day. I didn't want to overdo my makeup, so I just went with what I needed. Before I could even finish, I received a text from Aeron saying that she was waiting for me outside of my house. This girl is punctual. I take a look at myself one last time before getting out. I walked out of the house and immediately saw a red bentley. I was in awe of what she did with her car. It seems that she upgraded a few things. A smile crept onto my face when Aeron got out of the car and opened the car door for me. She was smiling with an award-winning smile. "Milady," "Chivalrous, I see." "Only the best for the best woman in the world." and with flattery words that wouldn't get Aeron anywhere with me. I'm not the type to get easily swayed. I guess that's my strong suit. I got inside the car without much hesitation. I doubt Aeron would do anything to me. "Alright, let's go." We were on our way to somewhere that Aeron wouldn't disclose to me. But at least she told me what I should wear, or the theme to be exact. "If you don't mind me asking, are you a lesbian?" Aeron bursts out laughing while driving. Her laugh was heavenly. It wasn't harsh to the ears, nor was it too airy. It was a laugh that you could listen to the whole day. "Yes, yes I am. Why? Is it not obvious? Should I show the world more?" I swung my head side to side, saying 'no'. She made a quick glance at me before focusing back on the road. "You're good. I just thought that maybe you're asexual, pansexual, or bisexual, you know? You could never be too sure." Aeron nodded her head. "You're the cautious type." "I just don't want to cause any damage. It's better to ask than to assume. That'd be wrongful." Aeron made a turn and I saw how her triceps contracted when she did so. I did say that she was built, but I didn't know that she was this built. I could make out the bulge of her muscles as she drove. I gulped, feeling kind of thirsty, but not for water. "Gevia Jones is on the right track." "That should be the standard, the normal in our age. Adjustment where everyone could feel at ease and not be pretentious creatures." the smile on Aeron's face was something that I did not understand. I was out here telling her what I think about the norm while she was smiling. "Alright, alright. Thank you for asking. Yes, I'm a lesbian. My pronouns are she/her." Thank God we were using the right pronouns. That would have been double kill by now, seeing as how we used to call Alex 'she' when that wasn't right. I could probably count the many times that I've failed myself just by assuming that Alex was a 'she'. "Got it." "So, what are you? What's your sexuality?" "I'm straight," I heard a pause, "I see." "Do you NOT believe me?" Aeron started shaking her head while laughing. The disbelief on both our faces could be counted as extreme. "I don't. I don't know. You scream 'not straight' to me. My gaydar is acting up whenever I see you." "You see me at school? I didn't even know you existed." "I'm a small fry. Why would a potato, such as yourself, give me any care?" I scoffed, not really liking the personification that she was using. "You ain't gonna talk to me like that." "What? I'm not saying anything." I sighed. "Fine, I think I'm curious." Shit. The first person that I ever told that secret. Not even Joshua knew. "Now we're talking. It doesn't hurt to be a little honest, ey?" I rolled my eyes at her even though I knew that she couldn't see me. "Shut up," "So, who's the subject?" "There is NO subject!" I became so defensive. I think I gave myself away. The smile on Aeron's face says so. I bit my lips, regretting it as soon as I said it. "Ahah. Who is it? Is it Alex Samson?" I didn't say anything. If I open my mouth, I'll just embarrass myself even further. "Come on, don't let me do all the talking." I sighed. "I do not feel safe sharing these with anyone, including you and even Joshua. Can we drop the topic?" I looked out the window, not liking where we were going already. I think I soiled the mood with what I just said. "Sure, you got it." my head whipped. "That easily?" Aeron giggled. "Of course. Respect is my word." I guess this won't be so bad after all.
