Third Person's P.O.V
"You're not being very secretive," Joshua said confidently. Zack wasn't hiding the fact that he liked Joshua. The smile on Zack's face whenever Joshua was talking to him. Joshua was surprised to see someone so open about being so gay who looked so manly.
Joshua scanned his eyes onto Zack's lean body. His muscles were refined, but not too much. Enough to say that he was built and was healthy. He couldn't stop himself from admiring Zack. As if he was being surrounded by gorgeous people, Joshua felt that he was blessed with good-looking people.
Zack's luscious lips, and his daring eyes that could take over the world. His prominent jawline seemed to have the best complement on his face. He was tall and cold. The perfect guy anyone could ever dream of. But there was something about him that was still a no-go for Joshua. Even though Zack looked so perfect, he was still not who Joshua wanted.
Joshua's heart was still screaming for the captain's name. It will forever be engraved in his heart. He will never forget about the captain. Cale's smile was all Joshua could ever ask for. He didn't need anything else. For Joshua, Cale may not be the perfect guy, but he was the one for Joshua.
The smile, so pure and so genuine. Cale's kind heart, and his desire for a better and free world was what touched Joshua. Cale wasn't like any other guys out there. Joshua was reminded of what he had said before he left Cale.
"Should I hide it?" Zack asked. Joshua shook his head 'no'.
"Aren't you afraid of me rejecting you?" Zack laughed hysterically.
"What's there for you to reject if I hadn't confessed directly?" Joshua rolled his eyes playfully.
"So, what are you into?"
They strolled around the campus, barely talking about the places for it to be called a tour. They were talking about basic information. Zack wanted to hold Joshua's hand as they strolled around, but thought that it would be weird and too soon for that s**t. Zack placed his hands in his pockets, trying to keep his hands to himself.
"I'm into fashion." Joshua pursed his lips and took his time looking at Zack's style.
He was indeed stylish. With tight back pants, a black shirt and khaki jacket paired with timberland boots. Zack wore little to no jewelry. Only a watch worth thousands of dollars was there. It was the only thing that Zack wore that was shining. Joshua, with a smug look, huffed.
"I can tell."
Joshua felt nothing while they talked. Joshua felt platonic towards Zack. He couldn't help but compare the two. Joshua was guiltily hiding the fact that he was enjoying Zack's company more than he should. They were strolling around the part where a lot of students were and, of course, as if on timing, the whispers came back and they were the center of attraction. Eyes followed their every move, and ears poked as the two talked. Everyone wanted to hear what their conversation was, but their voices were too soft and only inclusive.
"How about you? What are you into?"
Of course, Zack also knew of Joshua's past relationship with Cale. Cale was also known to the business industry since he was also one of the elite, although not on the frontline. Cale was known for his direct to the point kindness and charity. Zack was willing to compete with Cale if necessary. He didn't come unprepared. He came in a full battlesuit. But he was also wondering the same thing as Cale.
Why did the two break up?
It was lingering in the back of Zack's mind. He was itching to ask Joshua. Even his best spies couldn't find anything. As if the reason was wiped out of existence. The disappearance made it more suspicious and intriguing. Zack was determined to find out why they broke up. It would serve as a great benefit to him chasing after Joshua.
"Hmm, I'm okay with anything."
"What? That's not an answer. You can't be so adept at adopting." Joshua scrunched his nose, which Zack deemed as adorable.
"I don't really know? Although I do enjoy designing clothes and doing makeup," Joshua's face brightened up when he mentioned the two things that always make his day.
The way Joshua's face lit up made Zack's heart thump a bit louder. He's never had that before. He had to clamp on his chest, to make sure that it really was beating that hard for Joshua. He had interests before, but they didn't make his heart flutter the way Joshua did. And Joshua didn't even do anything that would be beneficial to Zack's happiness.
"..." Zack froze.
Joshua had to stop walking and looked at Zack with a confused look.
"Why'd you stop walking? We're almost at the music building." as if they were talking about the names of the buildings that they had just passed through.
"I- uh," Zack shook the feeling off and gave Joshua a tightlipped smile. His luscious lips disappeared as he did so.
"What is it?" Joshua asked, not having any idea about why Zack was stuttering.
"Nothing. Let's go."
Before Joshua could ask, Zack had already grabbed Joshua's wrist and dragged Joshua along with him.
"The music building is that way." Joshua pointed to their left and Zack immediately redirected their route. Embarrassed, but with a smile.
After they were done with the tour, Joshua clicked his tongue and gave Zack a forced smile. Eager to go home, Joshua forced out a yawn. He acted it so naturally that Zack believed that he was tired.
"Are you tired? Do you want to go home?" he didn't want to see Joshua go home yet, but since Joshua was tired, he couldn't do anything about it.
"Yeah, actually. So, I'll go on ahead."
Zack nodded his head, disheartened to see his crush go. Joshua giggled at how dramatic Zack was before waving and walking away.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
