Gevia's P.O.V
"Where are we going?"
"We're almost there." she really wasn't going to tell me anything.
But I did notice something. We were in the main city, where everything was neutral. The center of the city was where everything was peaceful. Ignorant of the way of the East and the West. Two mafia bosses on either side, and the center as the common ground.
The smile on Aeron's face could not be measured. She was happy. It was evident. She was glowing, like she had done something that made her feel so good to have that kind of glow. I was envious. I remember when Joshua commented that I was glowing like that. But that was because of Alex, but now that I'm not planning on interacting with them, I doubt I'd glow again.
"We're here!" Aeron happily announced after making a half. She parked the car and opened the door for me.
What a person. If Aeron had a girlfriend, her girlfriend would be very happy. Good thing I'm not into relationships right now, otherwise that would be me falling for Aeron. The thought of being in a relationship when I'm this moody scares me.
"Skating?" she nodded her head cutely, bobbing it before locking the car.
"Do you know how to skate?" she asked. She guided me to the entrance of the building.
It was a fine day, perfect for skating, I guess.
"No, do you?"
"I thought you knew how to skate!" she practically yelled, causing heads to turn our way.
"What? You didn't think about the possibility that I might not know how to f*****g skate?" Aeron laughed.
"Well, I didn't really care. Let's go and learn how to skate."
She pushed me from the back and we rented skating shoes. The girl that was helping us looked at Aeron with so much hunger in her eyes, she must've been drooling over Aeron. I shrugged the woman off, not really caring about her drool and s**t.
"Let's go!" Aeron was hyped. She immediately dragged me to the skating rink. I saw the woman's expression before Aeron successfully dragged me away.
It was a sour expression. I wanted to laugh, but I didn't want to rub salt on her wound. I guess that was a victory for me.
"Slowly," Aeron kept on repeating to herself. She stumbles, having a hard time just standing up.
"Slowpoke," I teased Aeron.
Aeron turned to me with a glare. I could tell that Aeron was a headturner. It didn't matter if it was a guy or a girl. Aeron's visuals seemed to have blessed the eyes of many. Aeron hurriedly makes her way to me, almost falling. I had to grab her hand and pull her to me.
Our faces were so close. I could feel her hot breath on my lips. Our eyes locked together, not bothering to look away. But there was no spark. I looked away, but didn't let go. If I had, the motherfucker would've fallen already. She cleared her throat and tried to stand up on her own. Though she failed miserably, the effort counts.
"Don't even bother letting go if you can't even stand up properly."
"Oh, really? And what if I let go?"
"Then go fall down on your own." I tried to let her go, but she firmly grabbed me. It was as if I was her lifeline.
"Like I said, you're stuck with me for the day."
In the end, we hired a tutor for her. I did not have the patience to teach Aeron. I feel like I'm missing something. What could it be? The part where we were so close to each other kept on replaying in my head. A never ending repeat. Even Aeron's smile made me think that something was still missing.
My heart wasn't beating fast.
It feels so different. It's mad. How I experience the same things with Aeron and Alex, but the feeling varies. I clench my fists, pondering about it longer.
"Gevia! Look! I know how to skate now!" she happily waved at me, sloppily skating. I giggled, pushing these thoughts to the back of my head. I joined Aeron.
"You're sloppy. You're making unnecessary movements as well." she scoffed, grabbing my arm still for support.
"Oh, so now you're teaching me when I didn't ask you?" I giggled and nodded my head with no regrets.
"Let's go!"
I picked up my pace while she struggled to keep up with me. I laughed until my stomach hurt. She fell a couple of times, but she kept coming right back up. The determination she had just to skate with me was admirable. Even though a lot were looking at her, she wasn't at all embarrassed.
"That was fun!" Aeron ran her fingers through her hair, giving me that giddy feeling inside. She looked straight out of a movie.
"Truly," was all I managed to say before looking away. Let's not stare for far too long.
"I'm impressed."
"With what?"
She unlaced my shoes without asking, like it was a job that she really needed to do. She gives me butterflies. The effort that she was showing me- out of this world, I tell you.
"You were a newbie like me, but you learned too easily and without any help at that."
"Hmm,"
Once she was done removing the shoes from my feet, she undid hers.
"I'll go return these," she indicated to our shoes.
"I'll go with you."
"Sure,"
We went back for our shoes, and there was a different staff, but still a girl, and still drooling over Aeron. Why are people such suckers for looks? Let me slap some sense into the world, please. I'm begging the world to at least let me slap some sense into it.
But since it's coming from me, I bet they'll think that I'm a hypocrite. I am aware that I look good. So I'll just keep my mouth shut.
"You wait here," Aeron said. She left me there while she went to return our shoes.
While I was waiting for her to come back, a guy came up to me. He had a smug look, smelling like cigarettes and clothes looking a bit extravagant. He does look like he has money. He didn't bother hiding his gold bling-blings. He smiled, rubbing his hands together while eyeing me up and down.
The guy disgusts me.
"Hey, shawty." he smiled, wide enough to let me see his gold tooth.
"Go away." he smirked, placing his hand beside my head.
Was that supposed to stop me from running away? I could easily flip the motherfucker with his scrawny physique. It wouldn't matter if I was going to break his bones. This guy had better stop before I lose my cool.
"Damn, you a feisty mami. Come have a drink with me, lovely." he eyed me again, more obviously so. I scrunched up my nose to let him know my distaste.
"Get the hell away from my face, motherfucker." his left eyebrow raised.
"Ooh, other than cussin', what that mouth do?"
"You get away from me or I kick you?" apparently, this motherfucker doesn't understand body language and expressions.
"Mami, chill."
His other hand was about to slap my ass, but the impact never came. I looked at my side and saw Aeron with a menacing, cold glare. I could feel my panties getting wet. Aeron looked so hot at the moment.
Like, yes please. Step on me.
"What the-"
"Motherfucker is such a disappointment. Can't even keep his puny d**k to himself." Aeron growled angrily at the guy. Aeron was taller than the guy. She was towering over the poor guy, who, I think, was shaking. He could barely straighten out his hand that was beside my head.
"What are you on about-"
"Do you even go to school? Can't understand 'no'." Aeron was getting personal.
"I, I'll go now."
The guy retreats defeatedly. I looked at Aeron and she was back to being the bubbly Aeron. I wanted to see more of the alpha Aeron. It made me wet. Aeron grabbed my hand, intertwining it with hers. I looked at our intertwined hands, staring at them. Her hands were big and tucked mine perfectly. If I was into Aeron romantically, I would literally think that we were meant to be together. With how perfect and comfy our hands looked.
"You look so pretty today."
"Huh?"
"Someone else beat me to it though." I laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" she sounded so flustered yet disappointed in herself. She was so cute, I wanted to pinch her.
"I didn't know complimenting someone was something to be shy about."
"Don't laugh. I really wanted to tell you when I saw you, but then you looked too good- I just couldn't."
Why was she telling me this? I feel nothing.
"Thank you,"
"You're welcome."
She guided me back to the car, and again, she opened the car door for me. We were on our way somewhere again.
"Where are we going?"
"Let's not go there."
"Alright, another secret then."
"Mhm, anyway. Let's play something."
What was this girl on again? We were leaving the main city. Buildings slowly transitioned into greenery. The trees waved along with the wind, dancing beautifully. Autumn was my season. Beautiful leaves were falling, gracing my eyesight.
"What?"
"Trading trivia about each other."
"Is that supposed to be a game?"
"Let's make it a little fun."
"How?"
She smiled.
"Say something that proves that you are."
"Supporting evidence, I get it."
"You catch up fast."
"There you go, now you know something about me."
"Sly as well. Alright."
"Mhm,"
She made a turn, and now all I saw was a body of water, never ending from here to the horizon.
"I don't know who my mother is."
"..."
How was I supposed to respond to that?
"I'm sorry," she scoffed.
"Why are you saying sorry when it's not your fault?"
"Isn't that the norm?"
"I don't believe in the norm. I believe in self supremacy."
I laughed.
"You're right. Anyway, how am I supposed to ask for proof?"
"That's the twist. You can't if it's like that."
"I'm participating in a game that wasn't well explained to me. Wow,"
"Yes, and it's your fault. You should've asked first."
I rolled my eyes because she was right. Asking about the game completely slipped my mind, and now I'm in a predicament. Whether I should say something that's utterly too personal and too hard to prove, or say something about myself that needs stories.
"Thank you, I needed that realization."
"You're welcome," she replied flamboyantly.
"Anyway, my Mom's gone as well, so yeah. That makes two of us."
"How are you holding up though?"
"I never knew you could ask questions."
"You're right. My Dad is a scary man."
She was being so vague.
"You know damn well that I want stories."
"Aljandro is my father."
Okay, I was not well prepared for that. What the f**k? Like, of course, Alex and Aeron similarly looked alike, but bro? What? I should've known. They were so identical, they practically slapped me in the face.
"Wait, how old are you?"
"We're the same age. Alex is my twin, but Alex doesn't know that."
"Why though? Is there some kind of family secret?"
"Like I said, you catch up quick."
I cleared my throat. This woman knows how to make a serious conversation light. I felt at ease asking her questions.
"Ah, I'll keep quiet about this."
"Thanks,"
"But how come I don't see you at school though?"
"You've seen me actually, sometimes you even roll your eyes at me." I gasped.
"Don't tell me.."
"Yes, I think you've mistaken me for my twin." I clenched my fists, feeling bad.
"I'm really sorry. You look so identical." she shrugged it off.
"Don't worry about it."
"So, you've never bumped into Alex before?" she shook her head 'no'.
"I stirred away from Alex's view. They have so much going on right now."
Alex is going through something? Was that why they've been so distant lately? I mean, even before, they avoided and ignored me. I thought they were just busy or something.
"Like what?"
"You don't know, but Alex has it more rough than I do. Actually, I'm living quite healthily despite hiding. Alex, on the other hand, is being kept in a cage." I think Aeorn and Joshua could talk heart to heart if they wanted to. They're talking deep here.
"Oh, is that so?"
I feel f*****g bad. I lashed out at Alex.
"Anyway, we're here."
