Third Person's P.O.V
"What are you doing here?" Joshua asked Cale.
Cale visited Joshua's house early on a Saturday morning. With flowers in his hands and a big smile on his face.
Joshua was surprised to see Cale so early. There were no paparazzi. They focused more on Zack's stay and the trivias of his humble abode. Joshua had just woken up. His eyes were still puffy and red. His bed hair was everywhere.
Cale giggled, finding Joshua adorable. There was even a trace of drool on the side of Joshua's face. Contrary to Joshua's appearance, Cale wore a full on polo and pants, opening the first few buttons to reveal his chest.
"Good morning to you too, handsome." Cale greeted Joshua smoothly. Joshua was still too sleepy to oppose Cale's compliment.
Joshua squinted his eyes, trying to adjust his newly awoken orbs to the harsh light provided by the sun. He groaned, walking away from the door. Leaving it wide open for Cale to come in.
"Joshua! Joshua! Who was at the door?" Joshua's little brother came, buzzing in.
"Ah-" Joshua turned around and let Cale take over.
Cale showed himself to Joshua's little brother. Tilting his entire body to make it look animated. The little brother's face instantly lit up when he sees Cale's body. He quickly lunged at Cale, jumping at him. Cale hugged the little brother's body and threw him up in the air continuously.
The little brother's giggles were the light. It made Joshua smile too, happy to see his little brother laugh like that again. It had been too long since his little brother saw Cale. After they broke up, neither saw each other because of how stiff things were.
Joshua didn't want anything to do with Cale anymore, and if Cale's family knew that they were on speaking terms again, all hell would break loose. Joshua felt bad, but there was nothing he could do.
The circumstances were so persistent that the two had to break up. Joshua looked away, pained. He couldn't dare tell his little brother that they broke up. He didn't want to be the bearer of bad news.
"Cale! It's you! It's been a while!" the joy that Cale brought with him was evident.
"Did you guys have a fight? Don't fight anymore! I want to see Cale more often!"
Cale looked at Joshua, getting what was happening. They exchanged looks before Joshua turned away and went to the kitchen to make some breakfast. Knowing full well that Cale didn't eat before coming over.
"Yeah, buddy. We just had a fight that lasted a bit longer. I'll be coming over more often-"
"Cale, can you come here for a second?" Joshua called out from the kitchen.
Cale put down Joshua's little brother and gave him a small, reassuring smile.
"I'll be back, buddy."
Cale went to the kitchen.
"What's up?"
"Don't- don't do this, please." Joshua said without turning around to look at Cale.
Cale stared at Joshua's back. Appalled. He was trying his hardest, and it might seem like he was begging for Joshua's attention, which was already the case, but Joshua was shooting it down easily.
"What do you mean?" Cale asked with furrowed eyebrows.
Joshua leaned into the sink, looking out the window. He didn't know how to lay it down gently, but he was going for it.
"I don't know what you want me to say, Cale. I told you to just be friends with me, but you didn't give me a reply. What more do you want from me?" Joshua was agitated and frustrated.
He wanted to stop talking to Cale. Stop everything again. Put a halt in things that should've been stopped long before. He couldn't take the risk anymore. He was done. He already had enough.
"Joshua, what are you on-"
"Cale, just stop. Don't come over unannounced." Joshua almost screamed. His emotions almost got the best of him, but he reminded himself that letting that happen won't get him anywhere.
"Even if I say that I want to come over, I don't think you'll say 'yes'."
Joshua spun around with a sorrowful look.
"Have you ever thought about me? What I think about you coming over? And WHY I kept saying 'no'?" Joshua blurted out, with his family in mind and their safety, Joshua couldn't help but explode.
But Cale wasn't having it.
"You say that as if I'm the selfish one here." Cale answered calmly, looking Joshua in the eyes with a blank expression.
Cale's aura darkened, startling Joshua. Joshua took a step back, feeling threatened. His agitation and frustration cowered in fear as Cale's supremacy prevailed.
"Cale, I-" Joshua understood in an instant.
"You were the one who ended things. If you provided me with a reason at least then that would've been a bit better on my side. You f*****g left me hanging."
Cale took a step forward. Joshua wanted to take a step back, to get away from Cale, but his back was already pressed to the sink.
"You didn't give me even one word after breaking up with me." Cale took another step forward.
Joshua's heart leaped out of his chest, getting more and more nervous with each step. He inhaled slowly, getting it into his lungs.
"You left me hanging, Joshua." Cale took another step forward, but this time, their bodies touched.
"You avoided and ignored me for a year."
Their lips were inches apart from touching. Both could feel their breaths. Warm.
"Cale, stop. I- I'm sorry." Joshua bent his back so that their bodies wouldn't entirely touch, but Cale leaned in. Joshua panicked.
He hadn't felt that kind of intimacy in a long time from the same person he did it with before.
"I'm going to keep doing what I want, like how you did to me before. I won't let you stop me this time." he huffed and gave Joshua one last stern look before walking away, proud that he managed to pull that off without so much of a hiccup.
He walked away with a smile and went back to Joshua's little brother. Joshua grabbed ahold of his shirt, clenching it and panting. He didn't realize that he was holding his breath until Cale was gone.
He wasn't sure if he should be happy or not that Cale was being aggressive. One thing that he was sure of was that he still had feelings for Cale. A dangerous feeling, but still he owned it.
He knew this was going to happen. He knew, but he did try to forget Cale. That was his plan. But the more he placed a distance between them, the more he felt attached to Cale.
"f**k me,"
