Gevia's P.O.V
Guessing would have been pretty easy if there was a price. We were by the sea. I could taste the salty wind on my lips. It was cold, but it was bearable. We were the only ones here. The serenity the vastness of the ocean provided me was addicting. The wind made my hair dance. I looked around, trying to spot what we were doing here, then I saw a picnic basket and a picnic blanket.
"I never took you as the romantic one."
Aeron put her hair up in a messy bun while I let mine be. Swaying at any angle. When Aeron put her hair in a messy bun, I was yet again surprised by how firm her arms were. The hard muscles move as she moves. The veins on her arms weren't those of a man, but you could see them. It was hot. I really wanna see her hands choking me in a s****l way.
Why do I keep thinking about s****l things when it's supposed to be a wholesome moment? She practically planned this yesterday and here I was, disregarding the effort for a quick fix of f*****g. I wanted to slap myself, literally. I've become so horny.
"I don't do this for just anyone."
"Dude, you just bumped into me. Why go through this whole mess?" she chuckled before walking away and to the picnic blanket.
She motioned for me to come over. I took a seat and enjoyed the cool autumn breeze, slapping my on the face. It was quiet and peaceful. It was a great place to think. Again, Aeron did something so grand just because she bumped into me last week. She didn't have to do things like these.
"Aren't you hungry? Let's eat. I made these myself."
She prepared the necessary utensils and even poured me complementary juice. She was being so careful not to spill anything. I could stare at Aeron's face the entire day. She looked like a baby, but with a feminine aura. I don't know if that made sense, but that's how she feels to me.
"Quite so," I replied calmly.
The resemblance is uncanny. I've seen twins, but they're too identical for me to find any difference. The eyes, the straightness of the nose, and they're both members of the LGBTQIA+ Community. What is it with these twins? But isn't their life kind of like, uhm, it seems like it's straight out of a movie? With their looks, richness and their storyline.
"Here you go."
She handed me the sandwich with a very expectant look on her face. I was reluctant to taste it, but letting her down would be a missed opportunity to tease her. I took a small bite of the sandwich, chewed on it softly with a blank face. Her smile grew wider and wider until it was gone.
"It's not good?" I swear she was about to cry. Her lower lip was quivering and her eyes were teary. I burst out laughing. This woman was adorable.
"It's good. I was just messing with you."
I could read Aeron like an open book. Her expressions and body language say it all. She was really easy to please too. She wasn't complicated, and you could see the transparency in her words. Her actions were also inline with her promises. Not much like her twin, Alex. Alex is really hard to please, and you'd guess wrongly if they were to ask you if you knew what their next move was.
I was comparing them again. As much as I want to stop myself from comparing them, I couldn't help it. I feel bad for lashing out at Alex. The poor human didn't do anything wrong. They obviously were worried about me, but I shrugged that off because their expression didn't seem to match their words.
I was an i***t for assuming too early. Crap. I feel so f*****g bad. How am I going to say sorry to that motherfucker now? Alex was worrying about two things at once. Their situation in the house and me. Wow. I don't think I'll be able to face Alex from now on.
"Earth to Gevia! Hello?" Aeron waved her hand in front of me to get my attention.
Crap. I was thinking about Alex again.
"I'm sorry. Your food just tasted so deliciously that I zoned out."
"Pfft, you don't have to pretend. Are you okay?"
Does Aeron know that Alex and I were talking? Wait, if I rolled my eyes at her, thinking that she was Alex, then maybe she connected the dots and came up with the idea that I was talking with Alex for me to roll my eyes. Wait, everyone knows that Alex and I have this hateful relationship. Of course, I'd roll my eyes at Alex since we're naturally enemies. Well, supposed to be.
"I'm alright. Just thinking about how I'm going to apologize to a certain someone." I chuckled nervously, putting down the now empty plate.
When I finish that?
"Is it Alex?"
"What?" I scowled, hiding my true reaction.
"You don't have to do that. I know you guys are talking behind everyone's back." I tilted my head, surprised that she actually did put two and two together.
"How come-"
"That was supposed to be a joke though!" Aeron smiled widely before covering her surprise.
Fuck. This girl caught me red-handed. I facepalmed myself. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I was so ready to leave when Aeron grabbed my hand to stop me from standing up. Our eyes locked and I felt like I was locking eyes with Alex. Aeron gulped. My eyes trailed from her neck to her collarbone, which was really prominent.
Her s*x appeal was too goddamn much. I can't keep my eyes from looking when she's such a delicacy. Self-control. Oh, where art thou?
"You caught me. Will you please let go of my hand?" she slowly, in bewilderment, let go of my hand.
"What are you guys talking about?"
"We just really fight, really." but physically with our mouths and bodies. Of course, I can't tell her that.
"I hear you guys bicker a lot in school, but I thought that was only for show. Man, you both have it hard, huh?"
I giggled guiltily. I'm sorry for lying.
"I practically grew up hating that b***h. What about you? Don't you hate Alex for taking all the limelight?" Aeron innocently shook her head with a contented smile on her lips.
"My life is quite peaceful. I used to dislike Alex."
She grabs a strawberry and eats it.
"But as I grew older, I learned about Alex's responsibilities. They were too much. It gave me a headache just thinking about it. Sure, Alex had fame and popularity, but those are pretty much mediocre pros."
Aeron was using such words for me to actually visualize and level out what she was talking about.
"Alex isn't free."
"What do you mean?"
"Our father is a very skeptical man. One wrong unprecedented move and the next day, he's already got someone tailing you to prove that you're innocent."
"Oof,"
"But if you're not innocent, he'll do something you'll regret the next day."
"But isn't that supposed to be not applied to Alex? Or you both?"
"Don't include me in that. Dad doesn't really care about what I do or what I've been up to, or who I'm with."
"Oh, okay."
She poured herself juice and drank it easily in one go.
"And you're wrong on that other part as well. Just because they're related by blood doesn't mean that he'll let Alex off the hook."
"What? Isn't that outrageous?" Aeron laughed maniacally, scaring the s**t out of me.
"Oh, dear. Since they're related by blood, Dad wouldn't let Alex go that easily. The punishment is harsher because they're blood related."
I knew I hated Alejandro, but I think hating is an understatement. Punishing your loved ones with a harsher punishment is not something that families should do. I could never understand Aljendro's twisted thoughts. He's too cruel for my liking. I wonder who liked him. Ah, probably someone as shitty as him.
"I hate your dad already."
"Mhm, look at it from Alex's point of view. That motherfucker? I'm surprised that they still haven't strangled the f**k out of our dad."
"That too. I would definitely have strangled him in his sleep."
I couldn't believe we were vibing and trashtalking their dad. Like father, like daughter, I guess? Now I know why Alex and Alejandro don't get along whenever we have our monthly dinner date. What a world that we live in.
Were those the reasons why Alex would sometimes look so distant? I'm such a f*****g fool. I even gave them puny advice! What a shameful thing! I even said it using a 'obviously' tone. I can't with myself. Please, bury me, oh sand.
"But has he ever laid a finger on you? Physically abusing you or something?"
"Pfft, of course. You think? I bet Alex doesn't like showing their naked body because of the scars."
I was stunned.
"Scars?"
Not even daddy could resist it when I ask for his help if things get too hard for me to handle alone. You have to know that he was the one that put me in that situation, but whenever I ask for him, he comes and helps me with the task at hand.
Gevia smiled at me. Her smile was full of pain and agony.
"That's for you to know."
