Gevia's P.O.V
Joshua came in, panting and his hair disheveled. I laughed out loud. It was obvious from his eyes that he had just woken up, and I could tell that he didn't bother fixing himself up. I wondered what he did for him to just wake up now. Not that his newly awoken face bothered me. He actually looked cute. He was frustrated and he was flaring his nostrils.
"What came over you to rush over?" he glared at me, menacing enough to make me laugh. His death glare wasn't working. It never will, not with his sweaty face. It was cold already, but he was still sweating.
"Son of a b***h, you told me to f*****g rush." I giggled, teasing him.
"I don't remember." he rolled his eyes and placed down his bag of kits on the floor.
He inhaled, and flopped down to the floor. Hugging my rug, he seemed as if he was comfortable. He closed his eyes, ready to sleep again. I kicked his knee, waking him up. He glared at me again before groaning and standing up. He stretches all the sleepiness away and faced me with a straight face.
"Fine, let's get this over with." all throughout our makeup session, Joshua was asking me stuff that made my heart flutter.
"That's going to be tough," he commented whilst brushing my hair gently.
His slender fingers combed through my hair right after the brush, making sure that it was perfect. He was so attentive to little details that I sometimes didn't even care about. He wanted everything to be perfect, which was okay for me. He wasn't really giving me any trouble. And I could tell that he was enjoying what he was doing. I didn't bother stopping him.
"What's tough?" he tilted my head to the side and looked at my face in the mirror, taking in every detail of my face. The corners, the jaw, white spots and even stray hair. He was a perfectionist when it came to things like that.
"Wouldn't you be stopping yourself from touching Alex?" I scoffed, fully knowing what he was thinking about.
"I never told you details!" he rolled his eyes and, with a knowing smirk, he poked my cheek.
"Girl, you can't hide anything from me. Just from your glow? I knew you were getting some."
I closed my legs, unoffended. We were already mature people. Talking about s*x was almost an everyday thing for others. I was never ashamed of having s*x with Alex. In fact, I was actually proud that my first time was with Alex. I don't know about Alex though, if I was their first time. Alex was so good at finding my spots that I never knew existed. They looked like a pro doing it, especially the dominating part. Being a top surely screamed Alex. It was for Alex.
"Damn, was I that obvious?" he nodded his head with raised eyebrows.
"f**k yeah!" was I really that obvious?
I mean, I wasn't trying to hide any of it. I was just trying to be my normal self. Trying to look as if my p***y wasn't wrecked by Alex. I still want that dildo inside of me though. Just thinking about it makes me want to blow them. I licked my lips, trying to divert my attention. I didn't want to get horny right now.
"Ugh, fine. I can control myself, thank you very much."
"That's what happens when you try to deny things. Straight my ass." it was my turn to scoff. Joshua giggled, doing his finishing touches on my makeup.
"I thought I was, okay?"
"Did you even consider dating a guy?"
"Dude, I didn't even consider dating anyone, not even kiss. Until Alex happened."
"Oh, yeah, I forgot to ask you how the hell that happened? Aren't you also a lowkey 'no touching' person?" I shrugged.
"Mhm, but when Alex touched me, I just couldn't push them away. My knees felt wobbly when they approached me."
Joshua squealed, fangirling. I rolled my eyes, wanting to push Joshua away, but Joshua was still doing his finishing touches. I looked glamourous. Joshua always knew what to do with my makeup. It's like he reads my mind and makes it a reality. He doesn't ask, because he knows.
"Damn, girl. Hol'up, that p***y's been getting some for quite some time, yeah?" I nodded. Joshua backed away, acting like he was surprised. A big smile on his face was plastered.
"So, you've been making out? Where? When- oh! Ooh," he squinted his eyes at me, insinuating things that never left his malicious mouth. I laughed again.
It's always a never ending laugh when it comes to Joshua. He was my happy pill. His assumptions were correct, if I read him correctly. Fortunately, we can talk to each other by just looking.
"Yaaaaas, it's me going to the bathroom or suddenly disappearing." he covered his mouth.
"Wait, but you disappeared so suddenly? I could have heard you walking or running away?"
"Alex pulls me into some corner or a dark classroom." Joshua slapped my shoulder, jumping up and down. He couldn't contain his excitement that he just had to pace around my room, back and forth.
"Like a kiss stealer something?" I nodded my head with pursed lips, not adding to the excitement, but Joshua got even more excited.
He punched the air continuously, gritting his teeth and throwing his head back like a complete lunatic. I watched him become crazy. I didn't understand what he was on about. He suddenly becomes Michael Jackson, dancing.
"Fuuuckk, what is this? I feel so behind. Uni-f*****g-verse! Why is the world so unfair? Why am I still single?"
"Psh, girl, doesn't Zack like you?" Joshua came back into his senses. He sighed and spun me around, taking one last look before giving me a thumbs up.
I stood up and changed into my dress while Joshua jumped onto my bed. He started scrolling through his phone, ignoring me while I changed. I didn't care if he saw me in my underwear. We both knew that we didn't see each other that way. I also know that he won't do anything to me. I could easily flip him over if needed. I was stronger than him.
"Nah, girl. I don't know. I feel like I should take it easy, you know?"
"Mhm, you're right. You recently, finally, just broke up with Cale." Joshua hummed in response. I could tell that he was still bitter about it.
"Can you help me with the zipper?" Joshua huffed and helped me with the zipper and then went back to my bed and ignored me again.
I looked at myself in the mirror to look at the finished product, which was me by the way, and I must say that I was utterly impressed. Everything sat perfectly. From the curls to the constants. Everything was amazing. I looked at Joshua and smiled at him even though he couldn't see me.
"Thanks,"
"Don't mention it." he nonchalantly answered me.
As if on cue, someone knocked on the door, alerting Joshua. He sprung up and sat straight on the edge of my bed. I had to let out a laugh. He looked so f*****g stiff and tense. I opened the door and saw Daddy. He had a huge smile on his face, but it became bigger when he saw Joshua. Joshua, on the other hand, flinched and forced a smile.
"Joshua,"
"Sir-"
"Oh, please, call me Dave. I've heard many great things about you from Gevia, and some of my sources."
"Daddy!" I tried stopping Dadddy, but he wouldn't budge.
He wasn't going to hide the fact that he had someone looking up Joshua's information and tailing him, ensuring that I was safe around Joshua. Once he knew that Joshua couldn't even kill a mosquito, he stopped tailing him around. Joshua stood up as a sign of respect.
"Uh, Dave, I hope they're all good things." Daddy chortled softly.
"Of course they were, but I had to make sure that they weren't biased, so I had someone tail you. You're a good kid, Joshua. I like you."
"Thank you, Sir- I mean, Dave." Joshua licked his lips nervously.
"You can stay for as long as you like. Gevia sometimes gets lonely whenever I'm not around. Since you're also working for her, why don't you move here?" I looked at Daddy, smiling at him. I was happy that he had offered that to Joshua.
"Oh, Dave, I couldn't possibly-"
Daddy put his arm around my shoulder, squeezing a hug. Daddy always had such a big heart. A warm heart where everyone can feel safe inside.
"I'm not forcing you to. Your mother can also work here if she wants to. Even your siblings will have their own room. It's not always that Gevia has someone to lean on and be with people. She's very picky when it comes to people. She rarely likes anyone." I guess daddy also did some research on me.
I never tell him about my day in school. Or what I did in school. But he does ask. I don't necessarily answer him, but I think he got the gist. I gave him a smile and Daddy reciprocated my smile. He didn't force me to say anything, which was nice since I didn't really want to talk about it.
"Thank you. I'll tell my mom."
"Alright. Shall we go?"
"Yeees,"
"I'll give you a spare key." Daddy told Joshua before excusing himself.
I smiled at Joshua and bumped our hips.
"Your daddy is so kind," he complimented. I smiled proudly. My daddy was my pride and joy. I could only imagine mommy feeling the same if she was still alive.
"Of course he is. Anyway, I should probably go. My Prince Charming is waiting for me." he mocked me, mimicked my facial expression when talking, and sat on my bed again.
"I'll stay here for a bit before I go home." I nodded.
I grabbed all of the things that I needed to bring before taking one final glance at Joshua before going outside and getting in the car. I just saw Alex yesterday, but I feel nervous about seeing them today. My heart was pounding against my chest. Just the thought of seeing Alex was already brightening up my day.
I feel like daddy knows something still, about me and Alex, but he didn't try to say anything. Did he not want to meddle? Or perhaps warn me that Alex is, in fact, Alejandro's child? Did daddy want me to figure it out on my own?
"How is Alex doing in school?" I remembered daddy asking me this before, and now I understand why. Was Alejandro giving Alex a hard time in school? I also can't dismiss what Aeron said about Alex being pressured by their father.
"Alex is still competing with me for the top spot. It's neverending." it was the first time that I answered properly.
"That's good, that's good."
Once we got to the venue, it was packed. There were people arguing with the receptionist, asking for a table, when, in fact, this restaurant was reservations only. I swear, there are a lot of stupid people in the world, rich and poor alike. In the end, we're the same, hierarchy aside. It's just going to be us against the world with our brains.
"There they are," Daddy said. My brain immediately forgot about the argument that I had heard and focused its attention on Alex, who was, by the way, looking so handsome as ever.
Alex was with Alejandro, who had a scowl on his face. Alex, when they saw me, smiled instantly but quickly reverted to their blank expression. I wanted to laugh, because I know why Alex was like that. I am not oblivious to the fact that Alex and I can't be together. We're both naturally born as enemies. Neither of us could deny that.
"Glad that you could come."
