Some wanted to be her, others envied her. She was loved by all... but when there was love, there would always be hate and sometimes that hate could be expanse. Behind closed doors, was a girl going through hell on earth. Life in fame wasn't always the green card people saw on the outside, abused, overworked, not cared enough for, not loved enough, people would never really see you beyond the screen. And that was the case for her. Blain Lennon or popularly called Blade. It was a cool night, not for her though. It was just another melancholic time going by. She wondered if the cycle would always stay the same. Work her ass off, be manipulated, yet smile for the camera, cause that's what she was "made for", coming back from work just to drown in the endless tide of weird comments, para-social fans and depression. There's no way she would ever leave without her image being tarnished in the first place. Reaching for her blaring phone, she picked up the call from her father. "Hello?" Her voice came out unusually tied, dreading what her father would say this time. "I hope you're happy with what you've don't, you can never just sit down, listen and be a good girl huh?" She almost expected this, she wasn't surprised. She knew the backlash would come, from some misunderstood thing she didn't want to do. "I'm not doing that dad, and you know it. I'm sorry, I just can't." Her voice cracked, already getting overwhelmed. For a moment, there was silence. "Oh, but who said you wouldn't? Mr Horrigan was going to have a little chat with you." Hearing that name made her freeze, her heart beating faster. "Dad, we don't have to resort to that." She said quickly, gripping the glass in her hand. "Oh but I think we need to, since you're a grown up now right? We've lost investors and fans, and you have a massive hate train on your back. You're in trouble, Blade." Her father's gruff voice totally shattered her heart, real fear creeping in. Before another word could be uttered from her, the call disconnected. Reality finally settled in her heart. This time she was not going to make it. Tears flowed down her cheeks, droplets soaking her shirt, each piece of torment replaying through her head like a broken record. "No, I can't, I can't do this Oh Blade, what have you done now? Not again." Her lips quivered, voice quiet. Her comfort was long gone and she was going to follow that comfort through death. Enough oaths from her . She quickly typed a message into her phone. Goodbye of some sort to...someone. She stood, her mind focused on one thing only. It was time to let go. Blade glanced at a book on the table and smiled, taking it with her. She walked inside the penthouse, opening the kitchen drawers, looking for bleach. Finding some bleach and salt, she poured it in a cup. Back on the balcony, she sat on the railings with the mixture next to her. "I'm really doing this..." She stared at the cup for a long minute, then hugging the book in her arms. "I miss you so much. God it's been so hard ever since you left. I can't take it anymore. I can't let you go, not now, not ever." Finally, taking a leap of faith, she drank the mixture, standing on the railings of the balcony. Her head spun, her throat burned, her lungs felt like they were on fire, yet she didn't look back. She closed her eyes and fell off the balcony. During the last seconds, her life flashed before her eyes, those beautifully painful memories, she could finally undo them. And then she was gone. Blade was dead. 𝖶𝖺𝗌 𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝗂𝗍? 𝖳𝗁𝖾 𝖾𝗇𝖽?... Fate shuffles the cards, but we play by the hands. Our story doesn't end here. Not until we hear the other side. ... Chaos enveloped the hall, shattered glass scattered everywhere across the stage of the opera house. Gasps echoed throughout the royal theatre followed by dead silence. "Get her out of there!! Please!" A voice shrieked through the crowd of onlookers, pushing through royals who muttered on about the incident, only to be stopped by some burly guards. "Let me go, you damned men!! She's in danger! LET ME GO!!" The young woman, fought against the many men holding her down " Princess Amelia! Stop this behaviour at once!" Another shrill voice rang out drawing more commotion. Another woman, with stern grey eyes walked past the princess with the most disapproving glare. Amelia, the princess, stopped in her tracks. "She will be fine.". "She clearly isn't. She's bleeding on the floor, my God, she's your daughter!" Amelia retorted, making the woman crease visibly. The drama unfolded like a blooming flower, royal nobles watched, attention divided from the princess laying under a broken chandelier and the only noble bloating in concern. A breathless sigh left the older woman's lips, her eyes darting to the bloody princess under the chandelier, her daughter. Disgust passed through her eyes making Amelia frown. She nudged again but the guards wouldn't budge. "Mother, let us help her." A soft spoken voice appeared beside Amelia. "Elizabeth this is not the time for your heroic fantasies.". "She's injured mother." The silence stretched taut. Among the whispers and murmurs of the nobles, no one seemed to bother helping the bleeding princess in a tutu, buried under the frame of the large chandelier. "Stand up, you insolent child. Finish this performance at once and be gone with it." A man, assumedly the princess' father stood up, a cruel frown twisting his lips. The princess...did not move. "Father!" Elizabeth frowned stepping forward before her mother pushed her back. "Elizabeth your sister is fond of this and you know it. Rather she get her act up and stop embarrassing us like this, she'll receive a very duly punishment later." The grand duchess spoke lowly but her tone did not lack its harshness. Suddenly, she twitched, not Elizabeth, not Amelia, not the grand duchess, not the grand duke. The princess. The chandelier groaned as it rolled off her body. First, the feet, at the most visually uneasy expense, her satin shoes grounded the floor, her knees bent in odd angles and her body lifted, her spine arched backwards in a nasty U shape as her feet got her bearing. Shrieks echoed through the theatre, nobles were startled. The chandelier rolled off the stage and onto the floorboards, glass designing the floor. No one was concerned about the chandelier, that was an after thought, what they were concerned about was the abnormal way the princess was standing or atleast.. trying to standing. "S-she's possessed!" "Get her off that stage." "Someone call the physician! oh my pearls!" Murmurs and screams filled the halls at the anomaly. But this didn't deter the duke and duchess. "Everyone calm down!! We'll handle this." The duke addressed the whole house, even the imperials who were watching, awestruck. He then turned to the princess who had her head bowed and het feet, En pointe. "Now child, listen to your father. After your performance, you get help. Alright? Let's get on with it." The princess stood, but her head raised and stared ahead. She wasn't in no shape to dance less talk of stand. Her hands were covered in bruises and cuts, her tutu stained with blood, her legs also affected by the glass, her face was bruised and her head bleeding. She stared ahead like she was lost in a daze, but this was... weird. Her eyes were hollow, devoid of any emotions, like a creepy doll would look. For a moment, the murmurs raised before it silenced out. "Violet?" Her father called. Her eyes shut immediately. It hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts. Please help me, it burns. I cant feel my body....Where am I? Then it clicked, bones audibly cracked as she moved to position. Her movements were sharp to a fault, almost robotic. She swept into a sharp échappé en pointe, on the shattered glass laying on the stage no less. Her legs snapped, open and close, open and close, like a ticking clock, sounds amplified by the glass before she landed in a graceful arabesque. Little pieces of shards flew across the stage as she danced. It was hauntingly eerie, yet no one could look away. Her body dipped into a graceful plie, but she paused, her eyes flickering open again to reveal that scarily dead look. She stilled on the tip of her pointe shoes, like she was thinking of something. Somewhere, on the imperial balcony, amongst the crowd of onlooking nobles, a prince, let out a short gasp, sensing something dangerous. For a fraction of a second, something passed through his eyes, before the realization hit him. "WATCH OUT FOR THE GLASS!!!" Just as he said that, the princess bowed and breached into a series of violent fouettés and around her, this sickly aura enveloped the opera house. Wind billowed, blowing the stage curtains, glass flew everywhere scarring some nobles. Screams again, enclosed the theatre as nobles took cover. The more she spun the more that aura darkened, it was heavy, almost overbearing. Her face did not lose its emotionless look but her lips quirked. Amelia stared in horror and something click in Elizabeth. "That's...not my sister". It was quiet, too quiet over the screaming nobles but the princess' eyes moved, focusing on Elizabeth and Amelia. Her fouettés slowed down into soft pirouettes. Her arms graceful like a swan. Her smile sent shivers down their spines, the nobles cowered in fear, but all eyes were still glued to the stage. It's unbearable! someone help me please, I feel like I'm dying. Get me out! ..Am I alive?! "Get her off that damned stage!!" "She's going to kill all of us!". "Dear God!" "Violet.." Amelia spoke, her words were reverent, like a prayer whispered beneath velvet veils, hope and disbelief wrapped together. The princess' smile disappeared, replaced by a soulful look of dread and sadness. The chaos settled as the princess stood, head tilted. Amelia stared back meeting her hollow eyes. Bloody tears flowed down her cheeks, a sound leaving her lips, it sounded like a rattle or some sort of cry. Elizabeth held Amelia, turning her away from the princess, almost protecting her from the visual horror while Amelia stayed rooted on the spot staring at her hands like everything wasn't real Right then, she picked up her dance. It was.. gentler now, it didn't lose its fluidity nor its sharpness but it was more noticeably controlled. The chandelier glowed faintly before lifting into the air back on the stage. The nobles gasped, some awed, some in fear. The chandelier floated slowly to the princess who was still performing, her movements were now...free, more passionate, more emotional. The sound of a laugh rang through the dead silent theatre. It was from her. Choked, but it was there. She swept into a grand jete and lunged carefully onto the tip of the chandelier. The aura in the theatre gentled and the melody that had been playing in the background was now different. Now rooted on the chandelier, she stood in an attitude devant. The chandelier spun slowly, twirling her around like a music box. The glass littered around the theatre, each shard, rose, like it was being controlled by some sort of force and levitated towards the princess, surrounding her like anchors, providing an ethereal sight. The stage light poured down on her, providing an even better visual. As she spun, her eyes opened again, now filled with great sorrow, yet her lips stayed quirked in a smile. Whispers filled the theatre at the sight. "Surely that's magic? could it be?" "She has magic?" "Who's controlling this?" "Is she real?". At the peak of her performance, she stayed in that poised position for just a moment longer. Then gently, did the chandelier land on the stage floor, the collected shards of glass followed suit and finally the princess blinked. Like she was snapped out of her daze before she collapsed back to the floor. The duchess huffed and murmured, leaving the venue with the duke. Amelia rushed towards princess violet who slowly closed her eyes. What happened..? ..Oh Blade. Ⲧⲟ Ⲃⲉ Ⲥⲟⲛⲧⳕⲛⳙⲉ𝖽..
