Searching for Balance
Everything about the evening appeared bigger than life and the exhibition game paled in comparison. The home crowd greeted the first official game of the season. Competition from the football team’s afternoon game did not seem to affect attendance that evening. Littlejohn Coliseum was bathed in orange from an ever-moving sea of humanity. It was Saturday night and the fans welcomed their Lady Tigers with exuberance.
Once the game was underway though, Heather didn’t notice the noise or commotion of her surroundings. She focused on the plays unfolding across the court and on her head coach, shuffling players in and out of the game.
