Cree's expression turned icy as she slung her bag over her shoulder, marching toward the door. "Despicable!"
Ike reached into his pocket and pulled out a bracelet, tossing it at Cree's feet. "Miss Montgomery, I suggest you take a good look at this before you decide anything!"
"What... This is Sasha's bracelet!" Cree gasped, her heart wrenching as she saw the bloodstained bracelet in her hand. "Sasha..."
Seven years ago, she lost her virginity to that man. By the time Cree discovered she was pregnant, she was already three to four months along. Unwilling to terminate the pregnancy, she gave birth to her child despite the pressure from her family. As a result, Cree was ousted from the board of directors, and her parents were sidelined, becoming marginalized figures within the family.
For seven years, Sasha had been Cree's entire world. Ever since her daughter disappeared, Cree hadn't slept for three days. If it wasn't for her parents threatening to end their lives, and her desire to leverage her family's power to find her daughter's whereabouts, Cree would never have come to the Greene family.
Seeing the pained look on Cree's face, Ike's eyes gleamed with satisfaction. He sauntered over to her, inhaling the scent of her hair with a greedy expression. "Don't count on the Montgomery family to come and save you. If it weren't for their concern about reputation, that old bastard Duke Montgomery would've already tied you up and sent you straight to my bed himself!"
Cree's face instantly went pale, her entire body feeling cold as tears welled up in her eyes. She knew Ike didn't need to lie to her. She also knew just how unscrupulous her grandfather could be when it came to profit.
Cree bit her lip hard, suppressing her disgust, and let the man continue his lewd remarks. "As long as... as long as you let Sasha go, I'll do whatever you want..."
Cree's body trembled. She knew that after saying these words, she would face unimaginable humiliation and torment. But she had no choice. Her daughter was everything to her. For her daughter's safety, she was willing to sacrifice it all—her dignity, her body... even her life!
Ike's grin grew wider. "Anything?"
"Y-Yes..." Cree's voice quivered as she responded.
With a wicked smile, Ike grabbed Cree's dress and ripped it forcefully.
Riiiip!
A large portion of her dress tore away, revealing her white skin. Cree instinctively curled up on the ground, her tear-streaked face devoid of any color.
Ike grabbed her chin harshly. "Damn it! Think clearly about your situation. You're not here to mourn for someone. Smile for me!"
With her fingernails digging into her palms, Cree forced herself to produce a stiff smile.
Gazing at her beautiful face, Ike's desire burned even hotter. "Heh heh. That's more like it! As long as you behave, when I'm done playing with you, I'll let that little bastard go."
Ike lewdly twirled a lock of Cree's hair around his finger and leaned closer to her ear. "Have you made up your mind? If you have, strip naked. From now on, without my permission, you don't have the right to wear clothes! You've already had a child out of wedlock, so stop pretending to be innocent!"
The room echoed with Ike's mocking, taunting voice.
Cree's face was ashen, her eyes hollow as she stood up like a puppet, her hands trembling as she reached for the zipper of her dress, slowly pulling it down. Mixed feeling of humiliation, helplessness and despair suddenly filled her mind!
Ike rubbed his hands together, barely able to contain his urge to pounce on her. He knew that only by completely breaking Cree's spirit could he force this proud swan into the mud. Just as Ike's grin grew even wider, a commotion erupted outside.
Ike grabbed a crystal ornament from the coffee table and hurled it toward the door in rage. "Damn it! Who dares ruin it? You must have a death wish!"
But the only response was the panicked voice of a guard outside. "Young master, it's bad! Many unidentified people have broken in, and we can't hold them—"
Bang!
A gunshot echoed through the air, silencing the guard mid-sentence. Crimson blood began to seep under the door. Stunned and terrified, Ike felt a blur flash before his eyes.
Liam swiftly wrapped Cree's alluring body with a large coat. "Cree, I'm sorry. I'm too late..."
The moment Cree recognized Liam, a complex mix of emotions flashed in her eyes—joy, fear...
Shaking, Cree threw herself into the arms she had yearned for over seven years, basking in the long-lost warmth. A moment later, she suddenly jolted back and broke free from Liam's embrace, her voice filled with urgency. "Liam, run! Don't worry about me! Go save Sasha! Sasha is your daughter... your biological daughter!!"
Overcome with anxiety, Cree fainted on the spot.
"Cree!" Liam shouted in alarm. But when he realized she had merely passed out, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Liam gently picked up Cree, cradling her in his arms. "Sleep now. When you wake up, no one will ever hurt you again."
As Ike Greene snapped back to reality, he saw the woman he had considered his plaything about to be taken away by another man. His fear was instantly replaced by rage.
"Who the hell are you? How dare you trespass on the Greene family's territory!" Ike shouted, pointing angrily at Liam. "Do you know the consequences of hurting someone here? If you don't want to die—"
Ike's voice abruptly stopped, as he stared in disbelief at the severed half of his hand lying on the ground. After a moment of stunned silence, he let out a piercing scream.
Angelica, her face cold, casually flicked the blood off her dagger. If not for Liam's orders to keep Ike alive for now, Ike wouldn't have even had a chance to scream.
"Make him shut up." Liam frowned, carrying the unconscious Cree out of the room, never sparing Ike a glance.
"Yes, sir!" Angelica replied respectfully, watching Liam leave before turning back to Ike.
As Angelica approached, Ike's legs began to tremble uncontrollably. The gunfire outside had ceased a while ago, and Ike knew the security personnel in the villa were likely all dead. Now, his only hope for survival was to rely on his family's influence to intimidate these intruders. After all, in Ramapo, while the Greene family didn't control everything, they were still a powerful force.
"What do you think you're doing? If you dare lay a hand on me, the Greene family won't let you go!" Ike pinched his thigh to steady his voice with a bit more conviction. "If you're smart, you'll let me go and get out of here. Maybe then, my family will forgive your disrespect!"
"Forgive us?" Angelica's lips curled into a dangerous smile. "You are foolish, ignorant insect!"
Ike couldn't believe that his usual threats, which always worked, were completely ineffective against this stunning woman before him.
'Could they be from somewhere outside Ramapo?' he wondered.
Seeing Angelica advancing toward him with a knife, Ike panicked. "Wait..."
But before he could finish pleading, Angelica grabbed his jaw with a firm grip and twisted, snapping it in one swift motion!
Before Ike could even scream, Angelica kicked him unconscious and then turned, her voice icy as she gave her orders. "Drag this bastard out and wait for the Lord's judgment!"
