TINA AND HER MISTRESS When Gena woke up, everything was at a stand still; she looked through the window to see the bright sky just at a pose with numerous birds not flapping their wings until the narrator made a click. Everything this day were set as just the way she wanted. The bright pink colour painted on to the wall of her room, pink rose flowers placed along her dressing table . Expensive nail polish, perfumes and lotions placed on it. But except one thing she noticed was missing which made her pretty face twitch with anger and scream her maid's name at the top of her lungs." Christina! " Who in just a blink dashed into the room and landed with a bump in front of her mistress. She staggered a little but in no time gained her balance and stood at ease. No sooner had she stood up steadily than her mistress posed a question that almost pierced Christina's ears because it was a shout . " Where is my make up kit? " "A........I" She stuttered which made Gena lose her patience and in a moment or two, a hot slap landed on Christina's right side cheek which made her large hazel eyes to turn red and wet with tears. She gulped the pain she felt with the sorrow down her sweet heart and she calmly answered: "I put it in your wardrobe to keep it away from cold weather." "Why didn't you tell me before instead of wasting my precious time. You know very well that today Jason is taking me to the party." She went on scolding pitiful Tina. " What if he finds me not ready because of you hiding my make up? Hurry up bring it with the dress he sent me yesterday. Don't stand there like a dummy." She says with a glare. Tina like a flash flung the wardrobe open and held out a luxurious mermaid shaped red dress with black shining crystals sown at the hem. "Wow." Is what escaped from her Mistress's lips when her eyes stared at the dress with admire. "It is really beautiful. I really don't know if I really deserve this." Yes, she was right to wonder because comparing the dress with her wicked heart, it was eight point zero. After Gena's admiration, Tina took the dress at the table not forgetting the make up kit and started to prepare them asher mistress preened up in the frog's kingdom. Tina stood there like a statue because her master hasn't dismissed her yet. She stared at the floor blankly until Gena came in rushing and ordered her to start her work but she still stared at the floor. Then," you fool, what are you thinking? Should I s***k your head to get your attention." This nagged her awake and saw her mistress already seated in front of the dressing mirror waiting for her makeup art. Though Gena had a wicked heart, her beauty was extraordinary. She had dark eyelashes and eyebrows with big a bit gray eyes, pointing nose with pink lips and a glamorous dimple on her left cheek. 'No wonder her best color is pink'. Tina murmured to herself looking at her Mistress's pink lips. Of course she looked like a princess after Tina's struggle in more beautifying her face and in the dress, she was more beautiful. Just as Tina was gaping at Gena, there a knock on the front door. 'knock', 'knock' a smile crept in Gena's lips and cheeks because she knew it was Jason. Gena rushed out of the room forgetting her classy high heels that Tina picked up from the floor and followed her mistress. Reaching at the door,she flung it open. Yes, of course Jason was there smiling with red rose in his slender fingers. He had dressed to kill, in a black suit with a white under shirt , a luxurious Gucci watch on his wrist. Wow he looked extravagant. Not to forget, he himself was naturally handsome. He had a slightly light skin, raven like afro hair, dark eyebrows, long and pointing nose,large dark eyes and on top of that he was financially stable. At just 28 years, he had his own apartment in Namasuba, rentals in Mengo, a bakery at Nabukeera plaza and a radio station. Jason to Gena was a jack pot because she knew if she becomes his legal wife, it would be a good fortune. Looking at Jason for a moment, she gaped but then her eyes fell onto the flowers and glistened. For real she loved roses;she grabs them,sniffles the aroma and surprisingly embraces him. After that warm embrace, she invited Jason inside and then closed the door. All of that happened in the eyes of Tina and she kept unknowingly admiring the couple because they really looked great together.
