Once upon a time, long ago when there was still magic in the world, 3 dragons reigned over the earth. Species were constantly evolving and soon the humans were born. It didn’t take long for them to become formidable foes. However, as they grew so did the rift in the carefully tended balance. Corruption and defiance took a stronger and stronger hold on the land and in humans leading away from the greater good and towards extinction of all things.

The first dragon to fight back was named Zephyros. Zephyros had a heart filled with compassion for animals, especially feline companions. His scales shimmered like emeralds, and his wings were as vast as the skies he loved to explore and what made him truly unique was his ability to control the wind as the Warden of Nature. He fought back and gained some ground but the world will need more than dragons to set everything right once more.

With the help of his counter parts; Aevorix, Waren of Fate, and Kaelthar, Warden of Cycles they will need to find a fated human but none have been worthy, none have been free of greed and sin. The world needs the emissary soon or nothing will be left. The most promising fated human in a decade has been conceived and now the dragons must rush to save it so it may become the leader of people and bring health and healing to the other humans.

CHAPTER 1 IN THE BEGINNING
Once upon a time, in a land were species were only just starting to form and the earth still held magic, there lived a dragon named Zephyros. Zephyros had a heart filled with compassion for his feline companions. His scales shimmered emerald, and his wings were as vast as the skies he loved to explore. But what made him truly unique was his ability to control the wind as the Warden of Nature. Zephyros lived atop a mountain Peak in a valley he had carved out and maintained. It remained untainted by humans for centuries, a mountain so high that no human had ever reached its summit to find the lush valley below. From his perch, Zephyros would stir gentle breezes to move the clouds to bring in rain or let the sun shine through. This impacted the villages below favourably as well. The people in the villages below spoke of the mountains as the “Windkeeper Peaks” and legends and myths were born about the mystery and good luck the mountain seemed to bring them. Zephyros’ valley was a place of tranquility, where time seemed to move slower, and the winds always carried a gentle hum of peace. In this hidden haven, Zephyros had not just the skies and winds to keep him company, but a unique family of cats—felines of all colors, sizes, and personalities. These cats had found their way to the valley over the centuries, drawn by the safety and serenity it offered. They roamed freely, knowing Zephyros’ watchful eyes and his gift of the wind kept them safe. Each cat had a special bond with the dragon. They would curl up by his massive claws, purring as the soft breezes ruffled their fur. In return, they offered Zephyros companionship, their playful antics and calming presence filling the valley with life. The dragon’s heart swelled with joy every time he watched them chase the swirling autumn leaves or stretch lazily under the dappled sunlight. His love for the cats and the valley meant that Zephyros could keep his distance from the human world and never feel lonely. He watched over the villages below but feared that if they ever found his hidden valley, they might destroy the peace he had cultivated as they had with the surrounding area. Humans, in their greed and ambition, often sought what was not theirs to take. One fateful day, a group of explorers ventured farther into the mountains than any had before. They were a curious lot, fascinated by the legends of the Windkeeper Peaks and driven by the whispers of untold riches and magic. For weeks, they climbed, navigating the dangerous paths and wild forests that protected Zephyros’ valley. Eventually, their determination led them to the summit, where they glimpsed the lush, untouched valley below. Zephyros sensed their presence immediately. The wind carried their scent and the faint sound of their boots crunching the soft earth. His feline companions grew restless, sensing the disruption. The dragon knew he had to act, but he did not want to harm the humans. Instead, he summoned the winds to cloak the valley in a thick fog, hoping it would turn them away. But the explorers were undeterred. They pushed forward, descending into the valley with awe-struck eyes, marveling at its beauty. When they saw the cats—healthy, sleek, and strangely calm—they were even more intrigued. And when they spotted Zephyros, standing majestically with his emerald scales shimmering through the mist, they realized they had stumbled upon something far greater than they had imagined. The leader of the explorers, a man named Harland, stepped forward, bowing low before the dragon. “Great Windkeeper,” he said, his voice trembling with a mix of fear and awe. “We mean no harm. We are here only to learn, to understand the magic of this place.” Zephyros, though wary, could sense the sincerity in Harland’s voice. His eyes softened as he gazed upon the group. “You have entered a sacred place,” he rumbled, his voice carrying through the valley like a distant storm. “This land is protected, not just by me, but by the harmony of nature itself. What you see here is a balance that must not be disturbed.” Harland nodded, though his companions whispered of the riches they imagined lay hidden in the valley. Zephyros could sense their greed, and his heart grew heavy. He knew that even with the best intentions, humans often faltered. To test them, Zephyros set a gentle but powerful wind swirling through the valley, a breeze that carried with it the whispers of the land. The cats, ever in tune with the wind, watched the humans closely. Those with pure hearts would hear only the harmony of nature, but those who harbored greed would hear something far different—a dissonance, a warning. All the men grew wary and frightened. They had all failed the test. Zephyros watched in silence. He knew then what must be done. With a great sweep of his wings, he summoned the wind, a gust so strong that it lifted the explorers off their feet. Harland and his team, all driven by greed, were swept away, carried far from the valley, never to see a sun rise again. Zephyros sighed, saddened by the loss of trust in humanity. But he knew the valley must be protected. He looked down at his feline companions, who rubbed against his legs, reassuring him that he had done the right thing. From that day on, the Windkeeper Peaks became a place of mystery and fearful legends. The valley remained untouched by human hands for many more decades under the watchful eye of Zephyros. And though the people in the villages below continued to feel the dragon’s kindness through the winds and rains, none ever dared to seek the hidden valley again. As fortune kept befalling humans they in turn did not share this with the animals around them. Humans had evolved and started mistreat their surroundings by abusing and neglecting other living things around. Turning from their vegetarian ways. Zephyros saw this and cried. The harvests were plentiful enough below for humans to remain healthy and happy without having to turn to cruelty but he had seen it time and time again. Not to say that his cherished wildlife didn’t eat as carnivores of course but in his valley there was a balance and no food was ever wasted. Everything had a purpose. Zephyros was determined to help those animals below with mind enough to hear his call of the land and send it below daily. Many more cats, dogs, even horses started to make the climb in the dark after running away from their cruel owners.
