CHAPTER 11
Lanie smiled at Marcel as he came out of the stall.
“Is she alright?” asked Lanie.
“She’s doing fine. We just have to wait,” said Marcel.
Marcel put an arm around Lanie’s shoulder and pulled her close to his side. Lanie stood there close to him and watched as they waited for nature to take its course.
Stanley looked at Lanie and Marcel. “Marcel is a great help with the mares. He can talk to them, and they are so busy listening to him they calm down and don’t panic,” said Stanley.
Lanie laughed. “I can understand. Listening to his voice is very calming,” she said.
Marcel gave her a squeeze and smiled at her.
“You can listen to my voice anytime you want to,” he thought. Lanie looked at him sharply.
“Did I just hear you when you weren’t talking?” she asked.
Marcel grinned
