CHAPTER 4
When they had finished dinner and cleaned the kitchen, they all went outside to sit and talk—all except Glenda and Willow, who were putting their babies down for a nap. Marcel managed to snag one of the swings and had seated Lanie beside him. No one objected. They were all for promoting true love.
“How is the work coming on Dancing Eagle’s house?” Marcel asked Logan.
“It’s almost finished,” said Logan. “Laughing Elk and his crew put a new roof on. They had the electric company run wires to the house and light fixtures inside. They added a bathroom and piped water inside from the pump. They painted it inside and out. It is small, but it has two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. There is also a loft. It could be used as another bedroom.”
“It didn’t have a bathroom?” asked
