Rowan lifts me in his arms with a content smile as he sways to the music in the club. Earlier, Azazel invited us to celebrate Zoe’s birthday at his club, Garden of Eden. Everyone is here, which means that my former friends are also here. However, I don’t let that bother me when I’m in Rowan’s arms.
“You know, this is a fast song, Ro? We’re the only ones swaying in place.” I say in his ear.
Rowan shrugs. “I don’t care. I want to hold you.”
I have to resist rolling my eyes at his words. It’s not like we don’t spend most of our time together. I can’t complain, though, because it’s endearing.
