CORONATION DAY
“You look so pretty” Brianne gushed, as lily touched up my makeup, turns out she had a talent no one knew about.
“I know right. Prettiest Luna out there,” Celeste added. “Your hands have got real fire kiddo” she gave Lily a thumbs up.
“Thanks” she blushed.
“Hey…. I complimented you first” Brianne whined.
“Well, she thought I was worthy of a response first,” Celeste teased.
They began a verbal war, I tuned them out. Focusing on my reflection in the mirror, lily had done a wonderful job with the makeup, and hair.
Nothing too extravagant or too simple just like I wanted, my hair styled in a simple bun, the makeup highlighting and supporting my features, hiding the unease I felt in my gut.
