Chapter 22
Marc was sitting in his office, staring blankly at his laptop. He was unable to write any story because he was worried about the Brooks, hoping Jared was safe and also thinking about how could he help. He was entangled about how will he explain Brent about the blueprints? He wanted to tell them while they were in Yorktown, but he could not.
Marc had been protecting his family for years, and so he wanted to make sure that it would be safe to speak before he tells anyone. While lost in thoughts, he received a text from Brent saying, “I have my son back, Marc. Jared is back home with us. I didn’t even see the person who did this. It was weird.”
“I’m glad he’s back. But what was so special about this Relic that they took your son? This whole incident is bizarre.”
