The Path to the Last Horizon
PART-1
The Map That Shouldn’t Exist
Aarav never believed in adventure—until the day he found the map.
It was hidden inside an old book in his grandfather’s attic, tucked between yellowed pages that smelled like dust and time. The map wasn’t normal. It shimmered faintly, as if it were alive, and strange symbols moved across it when Aarav stared too long.
At the top, in bold, uneven letters, it read: “The Path to the Last Horizon.”
“Creepy,” Aarav whispered, but he couldn’t stop looking at it.
Suddenly, one part of the map glowed brighter. A small red dot pulsed near a forest just outside his town—the same forest everyone avoided. People said it was easy to get lost there. Some said it changed.
Aarav laughed nervously. “Just a coincidence.”
But deep inside, something stirred. A feeling he had never known before—curiosity mixed with excitement.
That night, he couldn’t sleep.
The map lay on his desk, glowing softly in the dark. Every time he closed his eyes, he imagined paths, hidden doors, and secrets waiting to be found.
By morning, he had made a decision.
“I’ll just go and check,” he told himself. “Nothing crazy.”
With a small backpack, a bottle of water, and the strange map, Aarav stepped out of his house and headed toward the forest.
The moment he crossed the tree line, the air changed. It felt cooler. Quieter.
Too quiet.
The map suddenly burned warm in his hand. The red dot moved.
Aarav froze.
“That’s… not possible.”
Then, from deep within the forest, he heard it—
A low, echoing sound. Not quite a voice… but not just the wind either.
And then, the map changed again.
A new path appeared—one that hadn’t been there before.
Aarav took a deep breath.
And stepped forward.
To be continued…
