Alex grabbed the first shirt he could reach from his closet and was dressed in under two minutes. They were in the car moments later, heading to Kane Industries.
The ride felt endless. His mind kept circling back to one question—why was he being summoned? What if they wanted him to step down? He wouldn't even blame them. What use was a company without an heir?
Twenty minutes later, his heels echoed loud against the lobby floor as he made his way to the elevators.
