Anna’s POV:
I wake up being jostled around in what seems to be a trunk of a car. My vision is hazy and my head is pounding. I tried to move around but my hands were bound behind my back. My legs and feet are bound together as well. These chains seem to be made of silver, but I don’t usually get fully stopped by this. Being an alpha, I have more strength then most wolves meaning silver still makes me weak, but not as weak as these are making me now.
What the heck? Katherine, can you help me out a little bit?
I wish, but I’m a little woozy at the moment. I think they hit us with wolfsbane.
Rats. Don’t worry, I’ll stall until it wears off.
Wolfsbane? Really? I haven’t heard of that in a really long time. It weakens all werewolves, but has to be used in high doses to effect an alpha. These people must know I’m an alpha in order to know that they would need both to keep me chained up.
All of a sudden, the car takes a hard turn sending me right into the side of the trunk head first. A shot of pain goes all the way down my spine.
Oh when I get out of here, these bastards are going to get it. If they have to chain me up and drug me in order to overtake me, I want to see them take these chains off. I’ve already killed two, and bit one. I think to myself. I look down remembering that the last form I was in was wolf form, but someone had the decency to dress me. Probably the girl I bit. That made me kind of sorry that I bit her, but she still shoved me in a trunk so not that sorry.
The car comes to a stop, and I hear the engine turn off. “The boss said she’s dangerous, but I highly doubt she is even awake yet with the amount of wolfsbane I put in her. Haha, dumb mutt so lightweight she’ll probably be out all day.” A male voice chuckled.
“Ha ha. Dumb mutt. Good one.” Another male voice said.
“Here, help me get her out and to the boss.” The first male said.
Right before the trunk opened, I laid my head down and closed my eyes. Might as well use the weakened part of me to my advantage. They open the trunk slowly and one chuckles. Probably the one thinking he pumped enough wolfsbane in me to knock me out until the morning. One picks me up from my underarm and the other grabs my feet. They take me out of the trunk, then lay me on the ground. I smell rubber so I must be directly beside a tire.
“Go dispose of the car, I’ll take her inside to the boss. She’s out cold, so I shouldn’t have any issues.” I hear the sound of keys being tossed as the first guy talks over me. “I might just take her to my room first, have a little fun with her. It’s always better when they are passed out. Can’t fight back.” He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. He smells like blood, definitely a vampire.
After about a minute of swaying back and forth on his shoulders, I begin to get sick. All the blood rushing to my head mixed with the movement was making me want to vomit.
How are you feeling? Up for a fight yet?
Almost. I’ve got a little strength back. Enough to probably kill this blood sucking parasite here.
That made me feel a little bit better knowing that I wouldn’t have to pretend to be asleep much longer.
We took a sharp turn, then stopped. The man opened the door and took me in. It was a dark room so I’d probably have to use my wolf eyes to see when I attacked him. I stay limp as he lays me on a soft surface. The weight round my ankles begins to lift as the man takes off the chains on them. I could feel Katherine gaining energy. I hear the sound of a bet being undone followed by the sound of clothes fitting the floor.
“I’m gonna have fun with you. Let me just taste your blood first.” The man whispered as he placed his hand by my head. He traces the side of my head and I can feel his breath on my neck as the lustful sound for blood vampires get when they are about to suck blood. I feel the prick of teeth touch my neck, and I know it’s time.
I open my eyes, and bring my knees up to my chest. As hard as I can, I push the man off of me. He slams into the back wall, pants still around his ankles. I jump onto my feet and pull my hands apart hard, breaking the chains around my wrists.
“What the hell? How did you break the chains?” The man says with a dumbstruck look on his face.
I look at him and I know my alpha eyes are showing. He gasps and takes this chance to grab his pants from the ground. Before he can even get them past his knees, I run at him with a fist ready for a punch. I make solid contact with his jaw and he stumbles to the side leaving the door open for me to get free. Just as I reach for the handle, the man yanks my hair backwards. I fell on my back, and a foot came right at my face. I quickly roll over only to be met by a chair leg. His foot rears back to kick me, but it was not face enough. I catch it with my left hand.
“You have no idea who I am, do you?” I ask as I stand up still holding his foot in my hand.
He hops backwards trying to keep his balance and pushes his foot down out of my hands. “Some mutt named Anna that I was told to bring in. The pure bloods mom or something like that.”
“So you don’t know. That’s good.” I shove his foot at him, knowing it will break something of his. He screams as his leg cracks and he slumps to the ground. I grab the door handle that has been laced with wolfsbane. I jump back at the pain it sends through my arm.
How many female wolves does he bring in here?
Too many obviously. Come on.
Katherine urges me to keep going when all the questions keep racing through my head. I grab the door handle again and push past the pain to open the door. Once in the hall, I look around me and decide to go left. I run down the narrow hall and reach another turn. I take a right and keep sprinting.
Behind me I can hear the vampire man yelling. “She’s out! Get her!” Everyone was running after me. A few vampires jump out in front of me with chains. I kick them to the side and just keep running. Left, right, right, straight and more. It feels like these halls will never end, but finally I see an opening to a big room. Katherine is begging me to let her take over, but that would mean stopping so she could come out and I can’t do that.
I am so close to the opening, all the adrenaline in my body is pumping. I take one step into the room and I’m immediately hit with a tranquilizer. It knocks me over but I try to get up. I’m met with a black boot on my back keeping me down.
“Nice to finally meet this quote on quote chosen one.” The owner of the boot hissed.
I look up with anger written all over my face. “Svetlana.”
