My Stepsister Is My Mate

Shelby’s POV My name is Shelby Jameson. I am a 19 year old shewolf and I have been mateless for about a year now. I am what some call a rare shewolf, being 6 feet and 5 inches tall, I have natural brown and blonde ombré and my wolf does as well, and in wolf form I am the largest shewolf in the pack. Most wolves find their mates when they turn 18, but not me. To be completely honest, I think my mate doesn’t exist. My mom and I moved out of our pack house and into the city on the outskirts of our pack when my father died. He was attacked by rogues in an attack when I was only 10. For the past 9 years it’s been really hard on my mom and myself ever since. But the last few months she has found her second chance mate and they have been taking it really slow. I can tell she is happy that she’s found her second mate. I have been working my a** off for the last year to really get the chance to meet her new mate. All I know about him is he’s the same age as my mom, 39, he’s really sweet to her, he has a daughter that is a year younger than me, he lives in the neighboring pack, and he’s a Beta. I just hope my mother is right and that he is taking good care of her while I am working. We aren’t omega ranked, but we aren’t higher ranked either, so when I get paid, it’s enough to support me and my mother with everything we need. I just pray when I do get the chance to meet them, they aren’t stuck up or anything for being the Beta and the Beta’s daughter.
