Assistant Chief Pilot, Roger Boswell, was quickly appointed by Alan Bristow Helicopters to step in and take control of training operations. He would be carrying on with Ericson’s workload, although not exactly the board’s first choice.
Boswell, known to vacillate on decisions, while further advancement in the company seemed to have passed him by, was a sporty family man who was better at stripping down an engine rather than managerial responsibilities.
