Chapter 27Ollee and I go for a walk at six a.m.; it's a cool crisp morning and still dark, but the sky is clear. I'm pleased for Patricia, as by the time she has set out her paintings on the stall, the sun will be up. People like coming to the market when it's sunny and dry, and the weather can have a marked influence on sales. When we return to the house, Patricia is ready to leave. After eating the food that she's placed in his bowl, Ollee is content to go back to his bed. He has everything he needs for his comfort, a full bowl of water and a new marrow bone to gnaw on while we're away. It really is a dog's life, I think. Mimi has also been fed, and she's happily making for the cat flap to go for an early morning prowl. Our pets have a better life than half the world's children, I think
