The day flies by and Lana meets me at my car so we can head to the mall, I have to pick out my dress. Today is Friday so my birthday fell on a Saturday and we'll have my 18th birthday party tomorrow evening. "So what are we thinking for a dress, I think you should go full on sexy, especially since you might meet your mate tomorrow" Lana says as we pull into the mall. We hop out and head in, "I mean it can't be too short my father would kill me, I have to have some sort of respect as the betas daughter."

Our town is werewolf only so we can talk freely about everything, it makes it easier than dodging humans like some choose to coexist with. "okay but can you show some of those tatas off at least" she winks "you know they're one of your best assets" "LANA stop thinking about my t**s and focus on a dress weirdo" we stroll through the isles of a little botique, I'm thinking red is a good color, especially if my mate is there. Red is sexy and elegant. I'm only 5'3" so the long dress falls way past my feet, short dresses work better for my small stature. I have thick hips and a nice butt, if I do say so myself. The second dress fits like a glove, it's a silky red dress that hangs a little over my breast with thin straps, showing some cleavage its tight in all the right places. I don't even try the third dress on and we pick out some cute heels and go pay.

As we head out of the mall I see Alec with a group of friends at the mall cafe, I'm almost sure my heart stops because I swear he is staring straight at me. I stop in my tracks, he is looking at me like he wants to say something, but he never does, he turns his head back to his friends. "Ayla.. Ayla....AYLA!" I finally snap out of it as Lana raises her voice, "sorry, I didn't realize I was frozen let's go he probably thinks I'm a freak, I swear he was looking at me the same way though" "He was I think, but I wonder why, you've never even spoken to him have you?" "Yeah right, only in my dreams, I scoff" I cant shake the feeling I got when he looked at me. I swear it was like he wanted to say something but then he looked away like nothing happened. I have Lana drive my car back to the pack house, she lives a few houses down since her parents aren't ranking members she doesn't live in the pack house with me, I'm literally shaken up and I feel so dramatic. It felt like he was looking at my soul not just me, I think to myself. We pull into my driveway.

"Maybe someone was behind me I didn't even check. I'm so stupid, there's no way he was looking at me Lana" she just shrugs, "Maybe, I'm heading home my mom wants me home for dinner, I'll see you tomorrow to help you get ready, don't worry about Alec boys are stupid, text me later." I feel flushed and I run straight up stairs to my room. I need a shower and a good night's sleep. I skip dinner and tell mom I'm tired and shower and head to bed. Tomorrow is the big day....and now I'm more confused than ever.
