Bruises and Scars

I walked past him in the hallways every day and every day there are different bruises and scars on his beautiful face. A gash on the bridge of his nose, a purple bruise on his cheek, a small cut on his lower lip and a cut on his other cheek. I always wonder why he gets into fights. I always wonder why Phoenix Mason tends to destroy his life every day when he can do better. I always wonder why when he caught my gaze for the first time, I feel like I already fell.
