48. Sharing is Caring

**Nate**      Even before I opened my eyes, I knew that Nero was with me.  I knew this because I could smell the morning dew near a river's edge.  It was so crisp and clean, it sent my head to imagination land.  It brought a smile to my face, even before I had fully woken up.  Taking a moment to listen to everything around me, trying to get my bearings; I heard the tell-tale sign of constant beeping from a machine, and I knew I was in Dorian's infirmary.      I tried to move my right arm, but it felt like it wasn't even attached to my body.  The monitor began to beep a little faster as I tried to move it again, now realizing that my chest felt very heavy as well.  Now, a mixture of alarm and dread taking its place, I slowly opened my eyes before I allowed my mind to be overactive.  Relie
