Chapter Two “You got a second?” Andy said as he slapped Jeremy’s shoulder. Jeremy stood staring at the engine of his truck, seeing the oil was way down again. He was going to have to do something, because it was starting to run pretty rough, and he could smell something burning. Then there was the transmission fluid and the brakes, which were close to shot, and he knew he needed new pads. The cold was setting in, and he’d had to get a boost just the day before because the engine wouldn’t start. It seemed as if everything was piling on him from everywhere.
