The rain outside intensified, and I was frightened the cabin might collapse. It was so cold that I could feel the chill deep in my bones. The fire was slowly losing its heat.
“Are you warm enough?” I heard him ask softly when he made me sit in his lap. His hands moved to my neck and he cupped my face.
“Y-yes,” I replied, realizing my teeth were chattering. I felt so cold, I didn't know as a wolf I could feel this cold.
“Let me,” he whispered and held my face with both hands. He tilted my head up as if to make me look at him.
“I'm your alpha, you know that,” he added while rubbing his thumbs on my lips. I didn't know what to say, his lips grazed my cheek, sending a warm sensation which had me leaning toward his touch.
